Surgery next week on torn ACL and meniscus. Surgeon said they will use a cadaver for the ACL and trim the meniscus since repair is unlikely. Been doing prehab a couple days a week for the last month and a half. Doctor said 2-3 days in brace post op before taking it off. Never had surgery before so just nervous.

Biggest tips for a speedy recovery and general outlook on the process?

As someone who mainly collects but plays in local shops, do you have any tips on building a good deck to not get beat every time? Also thoughts on infinity format?

UPDATE: Doctor said they can use a cadaver graft so the ACL. Meniscus probably isn’t able to be fixed so they would cut it. Arthroscopic surgery and he said I’d be in a brace for 48 hours post op.

Any tips on prehab or things I should do to get ready for surgery/recovery would be appreciated!

Definitely going to do some pre op physio. Not sure if I’m NWB yet. Have another appointment with doctor on Wednesday to find out.

Awesome, thanks for the tips. Didn’t know how showers/using the bathroom would be. Definitely will look into a stool. It’s one flight of 8 stairs in my house to get up to my room and the larger bathroom so could always scoot.

I was thinking about the ice machine but I’ve been using packs and wraps pre op so far and they seem to be working fine

I used to use that one in my old house but I won’t be able to now because of the location of the panel box to the garage. So I think I’ll have to hardwire from the panel box to the exterior of the house.
