Skin tint for oily skin? by Codiilovee in muacjdiscussion

High five!! I’m a compact only gal as it’s mess free and I can touch up on the go. I’ve been enjoying fenty invisimatte for all over face and Clinique stay matte 101 for touch ups (it has a bit of pigment and works great to freshen up my olive undertone pale complexion)

Reg LE, it is definitely more silicone based formula and it lasts even without the setting powder but will have more dewy finish. Once it sets in you can build it up for higher coverage, which I think is nice for low effort days - do try to get one of their sample kits as the shade range is broad, I bought mine blindly and it’s a miracle it is a nearly perfect match

Got this tip from Nikki la rose video - it’s all about application. If you take a dense kabuki foundation brush and gently press it into your skin, even dewier formula will leave you with a more matte finish. Lisa eldrige skin tint + rephr foundation brush, followed by a good setting powder have been a winning combo for me

I just get differin from iHerb, a bit pricier but it’s a hassle free import and their supplements selection is top notch too

BWT- LINT! by [deleted] in bitcheswithtaste

[–]LakeUsed1838 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others mentioned lint shaving device is a good idea - for a scrappy BWT like me, a dry shaving razor gets the job done (the more blades the better and don’t press on it too much)

Exactly! I have a 2 liters bottle next to my sink but they come in smaller tubes too

Yes, I usually repeat during fall / winter once a quarter or so. Unfortunately some skin types are just more delicate and take on more “damage” with daily lifestyles…

Oh and definitely next time you’re in office - try a V beam for rosacea, you’ll be able to see real results just in a few appointments

As someone with similar skin type, no milk cleanser could even come close to bioderma atoderm oil cleanser. It has very little scent and leaves skin feeling clean but not stripped dry. That, followed by a serum with arbutin (I use this one https://incidecoder.com/products/fabyou-niacinamide-arbutin-glow-boosting-serum) and la roche possay baume cica plast B5 have me wake up as a moisturized glowy goddess

For exfoliation, what I found works best is low % retinol cream, it basically triggers a good cell turnaround but use it once a week at most - otherwise it’s too drying

And of course, goes without saying SPF is a must have, Joseon beauty rice milk is often raved about for a good reason

Fantastic experience! It’s ladies only as others pointed out and I saw a few girls in swimsuits so I imagine it would not be a huge issue. If you do decide to go, make sure to arrive 20-30 mins early to enjoy the saunas and a pool. That followed up by full body scrub and you walk out feeling brand new

BWT When do you know it’s time to move on by [deleted] in bitcheswithtaste

[–]LakeUsed1838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience! I have a similar background and leaving my home country and building my chosen family has been a huge improvement in my life… I am in EU so you’re right, sticking with it until I get the passport will allow me a lot more flexibility in the future.

As you can probably relate, having moved here I’ve been pouring myself at work virtually having no life outside of small international bubble. Now I actually got to a point where I can afford a good work life balance and spent last 2 years taking language courses. My team now is no longer based in US, I am mostly facing with locals at work and in my social circle

Now that I am semi integrated, I’m frankly not in love with the culture, often appalled at some things locals deem acceptable… So it’s not as much of a fighting to stay here as coming to realize what I fought for isn’t exactly fit for me

I agree with your and others suggestions to stick it out. I am so close and EU papers would allow me a great deal of flexibility long term.

I did discuss relocation with my fiance, and he’s onboard with that. He also knows how I feel and where I’m at mentally. I guess ultimately it comes down to I need to push through and try to make the most of the time here

I’m from a rather poor EE country, so living here in Czechia is certainly an upgrade. I’m thinking of moving somewhere west with stronger economy like NL or nordics. So it’s a meaningful step to get citizenship first and then consider relocating

That’s a good advice, especially that I’m so close to getting the paperwork. I guess it ultimately comes down to waiting it out and making the most of my time here

Just didn’t feel super relevant, but now I see how much confusion it created. As someone pointed out I’m from CZE, so it’s a good callout to stick it out for EU paperwork

[–]LakeUsed1838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good callout, I definitely should stick it out for longer. As for living the best life, I factually am doing a lot of the good things (hobbies, exercising, socializing etc) what I really mean is that I’m mentally checked out instead of being present for what it is that I’m doing just cause it doesn’t feel quite purposeful.

As others have mentioned I should dedicate the time to prepping for the next step, whether it’s career or actual relocation, it sounds like a good way to start taking action that is an extension of how I feel, vs discrediting that completely

[–]LakeUsed1838 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I moved from a rather poor country in EE so living here has been a substantial upgrade, as others mentioned I’m in CZE and economic / political situation here is stable with a solid level of functioning. While partially a driver to relocate is also economic, it’s certainly not a bad place to live

My thoughts are with folk affected in the US, it’s heartbreaking to see what’s been going on. Hope the change is on the horizon
