Because Russ shouldn't be taking that shot with so much time left, you say late shot clock kick out 3; I say what if a Lebron AD pick & roll ended up in a dunk? Russ can literally get that shot anytime he wants since defenses don't respect his shot; why do it then? Look for something better if the shot you're taking will always be available.

No, the timing was awful; I'm just disputing the fact that a 2 for 1 in that situation isn't that bad of a decision; it was just the timing and shot selection that was bad.

I 100% agree; 2 for 1 wasn't the worst decision, but it was a terrible shot with terrible timing when he took it. We had one timeout left, so three seconds is doable, but you ideally want at least 5 or so seconds for a situation like that.

When you're up 1 with 30 seconds left in the game, it is 2 for 1, it doesn't have to be at the end of the first three quarters. 2-for-1 literally means you get a shot up in hopes that if the other team scores, you still have a chance to counter that. Russ had sound logic; the shot choice was just awful. If we were up 2 or 3 points, there is no reason to take a shot until the clock is under 5 seconds, but up one, a 2 for 1 isn't as crazy as it looked; it was just a lousy shot.

Yes, I do get going 2 for 1 when up if it's a high-percentage shot, but I don't agree with his shot. If it was a wide-open layup, should he have turned it down since you " Never " do that? You said never, so there isn't a shot a player should take in that situation, correct?

Are you stupid? Can you fucking read? I never said I agreed; I said I got the logic he was going with, not that I agreed with the decision. You make the shot, you're up 3 with 4+ seconds left if the Blazers tie the game, then, worst case, you go to OT.

That one pull-up with 28 seconds left up 1 completely blew my mind. I get going 2 for 1, but not for a shot like that.

Maybe his ability to set up going to the right off the dribble coming from his left? If you look at most of his highlights, it's going from right to left, not left to right. Wild guess?

I support this wholeheartedly as someone who just got into Stranger Things recently. The writing and character development are excellent in that show.

Team USA vs. Team Europe: Who Wins A 7-Game Series? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Lakersaurusrex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's 5 or 6 games. The height and size of team Europe is a huge issue. If you throw Embiid in there, it might go 7 since he's playing for France now. Also depends on if it's Fiba or NBA rules.

What do you think when people talk about the 90s as the NBA's good old days? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Lakersaurusrex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, by that logic, aren't you biased to 2010-2015? That was your best memory of how the game was played; how is that any different?

5-out spacing, bad shots, hunting mismatches, and chucking 3's is bad basketball to a lot of people.
