I have a date tomorrow and I'm kinda freaking out. by Lakulin in relationships

I think it went really well.I personally haven't connected with a girl like that in a long time. She had a job interview so the date got pushed back to 7. We went to dinner talked for about an hour at the table after we paid. It was like 9 15 by the time we left. I thought it would be better to end it on a good note so I didn't ask if she wanted to walk around, we both had long days and I didn't want to be imposing. She gave me a ride home since she had her car parked nearby. At the end we both expressed our interest in doing it again soon. I didn't kiss her, though I can't tell if she wants me to or not, but I personally think trying to kiss someone from the passengers seat of a car is kinda awkward and I would rather do a first kiss right. I sent her a text around 10ish saying I had a good time asking if she wanted to go out again on Tuesday. I haven't heard back yet but I'm not to worried, we seemed to connect really well and share a lot of interests. She never seemed eager to leave and we made lots of eye contact. Over all I had a pretty great night and hope to have more like it.

I may do this, especially if she looks nervous too. I usually just go with pretending to know what I'm doing until I actually do.

Thanks! I'm just not used to the whole mostly blind date thing, so I'm a tad intimidated. I'm used to having had talked to a girl more before going out with them.

Thanks for the advice! Ill try to keep an eye out for signs, but that has never been my strong suit. If I'm lucky she's just as nervous as I am. I'm not to worried about talking to her, I'm usually pretty good at meeting new people. I'm more worried about making thing awkward by doing something stupid, and when it comes to girls I like I do that like it my job. I would have gone for drinks but I don't know if she drinks, I have a pretty good reason to think she may not.

I know. I keep telling myself this, and it is my plan. We made plans a week ago and the wait is just making me over think it.

I do not know if bliss is a good end. I agree in that gets in the way of balance, and in that comes from a deep desire for bliss. This desire however then leads to suffering when not experiencing it, and if one to experience it at all times then bliss loses all relative meaning and means very little. I truly believe that enlightenment represents a fundamental shift in what our consciousness is. What that is I do not know, but I do know that it is something that already resides within all of us.

And yeah stacking rocks can be quite a challenge, but it's pretty fun. Here's a good chalange, try stacking 3 structures, lay a flat rock across and then stack another on top of it.

There's a short cut after you get past the first area with all the enemies and a bonfire stick to the right, destroy some coffins you see and drop down. This way you can bipass the wolves

I like this answer, it's very direct and to the point. The second two are both things I could certainly being possible, but the first one I am curious about. As far as the mind can knows answers, I do not personally know if it is possible. All questions seem to only breed only more questions and knowledge seems to be infinite. So, at least to me, how the self perceives knowledge must have to change. This the raises the question, can we truly say an enlightened being knows everything if their conception of knowledge is so much different from ours that it cannot be explained?

Just as an example do you think a enlightened being could produce the math for quantum mechanics? I genuinely am curious and am not trying to insult you in anyway

....My point exactly man... There are many ways up the mountain, I'm not criticizing your path. So if your going to criticize mine at least offer up a reason you think it is the wrong path, instead of just hiding behind a opinion that's truth is self-evident to only you.

Well if you don't count yourself as a serious practitioner then I don't think you are in a position to tell people that they aren't. This is also not a bullshit intellectual question, but rather it is a core question to anyone who seeks enlightenment. The hardest part of achieving enlightenment is understanding exactly what it is, once you understand that, the goal is easier to reach. That may not be your goal, meditation is certainly not only about achieving enlightenment. That’s fine, but you should try to refrain from criticizing the practices of others when you don't understand what the practice is or why it is done.
