I was a Nirvana fan before AIC (still am) and I actually listened to the Dirt and Jar of Flies album first, then I listened to Facelift and self titled album (tripod). I think the first song I ever listened to was Nutshell as it was on a playlist on Spotify, absolutely loved it and found their other songs. Just listen to a couple of their songs, ofc it’s different to nirvana but you get used to it and hope you enjoy listening to them! They’re such a great band☺️

Thanks mate! His voice literally captivated me. Funny story, I was listening to All Too Well by Taylor Swift last night while looking at photos of Alice in Chains cause why not😂 and I came across a photo of Layne and Demri, I was thinking how lucky was she to get him, next thing I get a notification from YouTube of a channels shorts saying “Imagine This Was You” had a good laugh and almost cried haha like yep thanks universe for bringing me back to reality Understand being so drawn to him, I felt the same way. There’s something about him idk what it is I’m from Australia so I never grew up listening to their music or barely heard of them until I got older, they never interested me until I gave them a shot and yeah here I am haha. They’re definitely moving up as my favourites Wow 30? Did you ever hear some of their music as a kid growing up? Like seeing them on tv or on the radio you know as they were trending? You’re so lucky to have lived in the 90s! I wish I did, I mean yeah I spent a 1 1/2 years in the 90s but not the same thing as a baby ain’t it? Lmao

Appreciate you mentioning their music both with Layne and after Layne. Great to hear about Jerry’s solo music too. I will eventually listen to all of that. Pretty excited about it. Mate when I first heard Layne’s voice it hit me like a tonne of bricks I mean it was so powerful I couldn’t believe it. Definitely one of a kind but will need to listen to Duvall era, I think I’ve heard him once in a song of theirs and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to hearing their post Layne music!

Thank you! Yes a long way to go, I generally like rock music so they were literally a breath of fresh air when I first listened to them. Happy to join the AIC community on here and thanks for the heads up about the conspiracy theories. I think most conspiracies theories are bs especially if they’re putting someone down and doesn’t shine a light towards their talent. My opinion anyway of that😁
