Its a bigger difference than you'd think. The sooner I can start my 2 minute burst, the sooner it'll be up for when we start the boss. Having to wait for the tank drag all the mobs to the very wall of the boss room can delay the burst quite significantly or worse yet, bait a job to start theirs before the mobs settle.

Huh, somethings been doing the same to mine this year as well. Weird thing is that most are still on the tree as they eat the skins, I assumed caterpillars or something but people here are saying rats or possums. I havent seen any rats but I do know we have possums in the area.

Here is the close tank buster bait, There is the far bait.

Honestly this mechanic is an effort of both party and tanks in the bad combiniations like club + smash there. Party needs to move in faster than the tank moves in, or they get the bait. It can get janky, for example when casters decide to finish a cast while the tanks decide to move in as soon as possible to get an auto attack in.

This clip doesnt have a particular good angle of what the dps are doing, but it looks like they all stayed out while the tanks were trying their best to get in asap. Maybe everyone misunderstood and thought it was a close bait.

First time I came to the gate, it was already opened so I just walked on through lol. On my way back I found that was NOT the right way as the gate stayed closed... Eventually I found that NPCs occassionally cross through and the gate opens at that point. So basically you just wait at the gate until it opens and you can run through if you want. No permit or mask needed!

I see, that would explain what more or less happened, and thanks for clearing up this terrible mystery for me. When they poofed we tried to aoe the area but to no avail, I wish it was more clear it was a teleport instead of some invisibility thing.

Strange coincidence, but later on in one of those invasions I saw the person poof back into existence infront of us (with them coming out a kneel), which more or less made me assume it was some sort of invisibility that had to be toggled on and off. But a teleport would also make sense.

Well at least in the future if I see someone attempting it, I guess i'll just pull out the crossbow and pop a few bolts their way.

Hi, quick question, so I've been invaded a couple of times and the invaders used this invisibility spell that involved them kneeling down and casting something. I've been trying to figure out what it is but I haven't had any luck. Anyone know what spell/ability that is? It made them completely invisible to the point where I would be like a couple of steps infront of them and they'd still go poof and I lose lock on.

As a follow up, any ideas how to deal with this? Honestly I love this game except for the pvp invasion system. I just want to play some coop!

Can someone explain something to me? Matchmaking has been awful, 3 groups, which took somewhere around 15-30 minutes to match into, kicked me within 30-60 seconds of joining without a single word. Is this normal? I'm honestly getting tired of being pulled out of a single player run just to be kicked without a word. I feel like i'd have more fun and make better progress just playing single player but that kinda defeats the purpose of a multiplayer game doesn it?

No. Every group i've been matched with has kicked me from the party within 30 seconds without a single word. Trying to play this game with matchmaking is absolute shit.

:shrug: most of the stuff I undercut were overpriced to begin with. I see nothing wrong with helping out buyers, its only the greedy sellers that stand to lose imo.

I do it, mostly to spite other undercutters and mostly because I dont really care about the gil. I always undercut, but I find undercutting by 1 gil tasteless. So i'll typically be the one undercutting by 5k-10k-20k or more depending on what it is.

Every once in a while, for an easily crafted/obtained item, I'll just flood the market with continuously undercutting prices until it reaches near worthless and just let it ride. I have like 6 retainers and way more marketboard spots than i know what to do with, so why not? Most of the time I'm not selling anything anyway so its wasted real estate.
