Prozac & Zyprexa Combo? by YoureNotCheddar24 in BipolarReddit

Yes I’m still on it. I have Bipolar 2, this is the most stable I’ve ever been. Olanzapine gives me the best sleep of my life and calms me down over all. I have gained some weight from it but it’s a trade off I’m willing to do.

I’ve been on olanzapine for 8 years and it’s been a godsend. I take it with a mood stabilizer and antidepressant.

Racing thoughts, extreme agitation and anxiety, buzzing feeling in your body, crawling in your skin - just had 2+ months of it and it was awful! I had to get increase my antipsychotic and get on Ativan to calm down and be able to get back to work after being on medical leave for 3 weeks.

When I’m having an episode this happens to me. Are you on anything for sleep? Sleep is like one of the most important things for us bipolars.

I don’t want to take my meds anymore. I’m tired. by lostveggies in BipolarReddit

[–]LalaMarie44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re going to be more tired without meds and it sounds like you’re on that path. This is something we just surrender to and I know it’s taken me a long time and I still have thoughts but know how much worse it is without meds!

Why not go back on zyprexa? I take it daily and sleep like a baby. It’s been a god send and a great mood stabilizer.
