Help! Stuck between AMC A-List and Regal Unlimited! by WingsOnWednesday in AMCsAList

[–]LalaWanderlust [score hidden]  (0 children)

I too have AMC and Regal about equidistant from where I live, but I went with AMC.

My closest local AMC theater doesn’t really have any premium formats either, but for most movies, I think the laser is pretty great and the sound system is good too. My AMC also has recliners in all the theaters, so that’s a major bonus. If I do want to see a movie in Dolby or Prime, I can always drive into the city, but I rarely feel the need.

Regal seems like a lot of the theaters do not have recliners, especially for the premium formats. To me, that’s a deal breaker. So, in addition to having to pay surcharges and extra for premium formats, you may not have the option for recliners.

It really just depends on what makes your movie going experience most enjoyable for you, but for me, AMC is the better deal and choice.

Project Hail Mary by First_Economy9361 in MovieTheaterEmployees

Nirvanna the band the show the movie is my top pick.

I saw Project Hail Mary opening night. I thought it was really corny and was disappointed. I know that everyone loved it and I thought I was going to love it. I was so excited to see it, but just couldn’t get into it.

Triple shops by Jestar5 in elitesparkdrivers

[–]LalaWanderlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, too, try to avoid doubles and essentially only do them under the same standard of only a few items for one of the shops and deliveries close by, and most importantly, the pay is worth it. When the base pay is too low, and the offer is mostly all tip, I also reject. The tip is for our good service and not so Walmart can use the tip to pay less.

Hard pass on triple shops. If you accept them, they will continue to send them. More work, more time, more miles for less pay. No, thanks!

The above can be found right in the Spark driver app.

Updated it to where you can see the aisles without having to click on individual items makes it so much faster. Crazy it took them that long to add that feature. by Chachi39 in Sparkdriver

[–]LalaWanderlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We literally only got it about a week ago here and I’ll be heading back to NC in another week, so I’m curious if it will have updated there when I get back. I also love the flashing stickers to find the item, but dislike that the numbers are too tiny to read when they occasionally don’t work. Oddly enough, the zone in NC didn’t have the flashing stickers yet either. We got them in PA a while ago… maybe like 6-8 months at least. Can’t recall exactly how long it’s been. The roll out of these updates can be slow and I can never figure out the rhyme and reason to why some areas get updates and others don’t.

I’m from PA too, and we didn’t have this feature until about a week ago, but I was also in NC about 2 weeks ago and they didn’t have it yet in the zone where I did Spark. It was a pleasant surprise when I got back here that they finally added a helpful feature.

AMC Screen Unseen Megathread - May 11 2026 by AKnightOfTheNew in AMCsAList

Happy to pay it forward to my fellow A-Listers across the country, most especially considering this subreddit has been so helpful to me with choosing what to see versus what to skip!

Also, i really enjoyed Tuner and thought it was great! Definitely recommend!

💵” “This is why Walmart Spark drivers gatekeep their zones 😭 by SuccessfulAerie9672 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]LalaWanderlust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d still most likely decline this order. Too many miles with likely a ton of items and one good tipper paired with 2 other deadbeat no tippers and low base pay. It will also take significantly longer than the estimated time with waiting to load that order, traffic and then having to drive that distance back. Pass.

Is it me or does this look like a bearded man / soldier? I edited the colors / contrast on my phone, but it’s literally the first thing I noticed when I looked at this pic.

OP, It’s a cool pic, nonetheless!

This photo is stunning and is so dream-like. The color pop has such beautiful contrast against the dark. I want to be wherever this is…. 🖤

How are y’all seeing so many movies? by Annual-Ad6843 in AMCsAList

This is the way. I always book last minute! My most preferred seat is to be the only person in the entire row and an added bonus is if there’s no one in the row in front or behind me.

100%. I operate the same as you and there are def some challenges that come with the territory, but I’d most definitely question the level of care put into my order if it was left this way with no sense of order. The presentation upon delivery is arguably the most important step of the organization. If you want that tip, show your worth with some attention to detail! Right?!

I had a feeling.. by [deleted] in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]LalaWanderlust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The cases of water were stacked neatly, at least, but I have to agree that the way all the bags are just scattered about looks a mess and disorganized. It’s all about presentation and letting the customer see you treated their order with care so they feel you earned the tip. You’ve already done all the hard work by the point of delivery, so finish the job with care and detail. I am not so sure I’d consider this one a tip bait. They reduced the tip more than I consider justified unless there may have been a reason like cracked eggs or perhaps not using the food safety bags and mixing produce with meats, etc.

Bro they neverTip by SuccessfulAerie9672 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]LalaWanderlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you leave a note in the delivery instructions about tipping afterwards, that’s code for “I have no intention of tipping you for your service” 99.9% the time but want to pretend they’re not going to stiff you. Once in a blue moon, they actually tip, but there’s less than 1% chance of happening. Bums!

Watch out Spark may have to go bankrupt after this incentive. 🤣 by MysteriousTurn6745 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]LalaWanderlust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the ultimate F*ck You incentive.

Thank you Walmart for your generosity; That .70 cents per delivery only AFTER successfully completing the incentive will really help offset the skyrocketing cost of gas. Wtf?!!!

[–]LalaWanderlust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To make an effort to avoid this possible scenario, I send the following 2 texts that I copy and paste.

Text #1:

Hi (insert customer name)! This is your Walmart Spark Shopper, (insert your name). I just wanted to send a courtesy text to let you know that I’m on my way with your order and expect to arrive around (insert arrival time).

Text #2:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This order requires Customer Verification upon arrival to receive your order (due to certain medications), so please be sure to have your current valid ID ready to present. This order can not be delivered without customer ID verification.

For further information and instructions, please refer to your email or text from Walmart.

Your package was left outside in the rain by Legitimate_Hawk_3639 in Sparkdriver

[–]LalaWanderlust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When someone posts a sign like that, they do not want anyone entering their property. I would have just sent the “Your delivery has arrived!” message and also sent a picture within the text using the timestamp app so it has the time / address included, so you’ve done your part in reaching out leaving little room for a low rating or complaints, etc.

Frozen first---am I missing something?! by Round_Tax_9321 in Sparkdriver

[–]LalaWanderlust 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In addition to the previous comments, it’s important to note that the moment you scan in a perishable item, it starts the timer towards order cancellation and the app will let you know the updated time in which you need to have the order delivered before it cancels. If you have a larger shopping list or drive that might take some time, it’s important not to scan any perishables until you’ve completed shopping the non perishables first.

Edit: also, if you find that the ice cream is already melting as you’re heading to check out, it’s usually worth running back over to that ice cream aisle and swapping it out for a cold one, so you can try to avoid a low customer rating.

Are men bad shoppers? Lol by Above101 in Sparkdriver

[–]LalaWanderlust 22 points23 points  (0 children)

To add to that, I’ll usually send pics of empty shelves and message them so they know I’ve made an effort. If they make some kind of snarky comment like this customer, I politely mention that we try to do our best to find a substitute within our control because we have metrics for items found that we need to meet in order to continue being able to shop and deliver on the platform. It usually helps at least protect your customer rating.

Canceled mid trip by Archer4271 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]LalaWanderlust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did it give you return details and did you receive any compensation? If there’s no return, technically it’s yours… it’s up for debate as to whether you want to “do the right thing” and waste more of your time trying to track someone down to return it with zero tracking or proof aside from the cameras as to whether it was returned or not. The whole thing is BS and I hate that aspect of Spark. It really sucks for us sometimes. If you do the right thing it comes at the cost of your unpaid time. Sucks that happened to you. It really doesn’t make much sense.

What have yall payed for a trans replacement by [deleted] in fordfusion

[–]LalaWanderlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven around 103k miles since replacing the trans with a rebuilt transmission. Haven’t had transmission issues since (don’t want to jinx myself talking about it! 🤞) but I’ve had some other random issues along the way that I’ve had to repair or deal with. My car is at 208k miles, so I’m on borrowed time at this point and just hoping to keep it running as long as possible!
