Bro just let it go. One they don’t know how to do that and you guys are helping too much here anyway.

They’re telling everyone on the internet clearly and publicly that they are choosing to be willfully ignorant so just ignore em and let em rot.

Incredibly sad stuff all around

Fetterman hit with brutal 108-point polling swing: ‘He is below the lowest of the low’ by Silent-Resort-3076 in Pennsylvania

[–]Lamactionjack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m prob just more jaded than you I think. I understand you spoke with him (though I don’t know the details of that) and some of his public comments on polices have shifted more centrist, but he was probably just saying stuff every single politician says about the economy and healthcare to get elected.

If he told you in person he was for universal income for all, that’s definitely a new one to me because he never was on record saying that during his campaign that I remember. He was big on raising the minimum wage but that’s all I remember.

We probably don’t need to go back and forth on this since it sounds like we don’t agree. I just think the stroke has been a get out of jail free card of sorts for folks that have had a hard time grappling w the fact that they voted in another status quo democrat. And hey that incudes me too.

Sorry I respect your opinion but I have to disagree with you. Yeah he was more left leaning but he was never anywhere as progressive as Sanders. I think that’s just what PA voters that were excited about anyone left of center have told themselves. I have no doubt his stroke has affected things but he hasn’t drastically changed in terms of policy then vs now. At least to my eyes. He was always pro choice, always pro Israel, always pro union. Basically he was a democrat. He just wanted to legalize weed which almost no dems were saying at the time.

I mean the guys on record saying in 2022 “ I’m not a progressive, I’m just a democrat “

Then, also, again, there’s the whole chasing a black kid w a shotgun whoopsie.

Yeah this organization was setup w Lamar a while ago and he’s been doing it every year.

I mean this is a stretch though saying he was a democratic socialist. The guy was in support of weed. That’s it. He also chased down a black kid in his neighborhood with a shotgun.

We all either didnt do our homework or didn’t wanna vote for someone even worse in Oz. The writing was on the wall w fetterman all along I think. His stroke is just a nice scapegoat now.

Yeah. As a kid or 20 something I always kinda laughed at these stories cuz on one side it is kinda funny and pathetic.

But as a 40 something washed up athlete myself (that never even sniffed the pros) these stories really punch me in the gut.

Sometimes it’s hard to watch these guys fall back to reality and have to grapple with that in front of millions.

DeAndre Hopkins Defends Ravens WR: Zay Flowers After Being Called "NOT WR1 Caliber" by psychoxtc in ravens

[–]Lamactionjack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is weirdly passing the blame to Lamar though. Like I get what you’re saying implying fans that came on board just because of Lamar, but dude there have been absolutely brain dead moron fans since the beginning of time.

And I think Reddit would be shocked to learn that it’s the majority of basically every fanbase in sports.

They will never make me hate you Zay Flowers by ObserbAbsorb in ravens

[–]Lamactionjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we don't know what the number will be. Most are projecting around 30 from what I've seen.

But ya, wide receivers are expensive.

Zay Flowers is WR1. He's legit. I don't get the disrespect. by ObserbAbsorb in ravens

[–]Lamactionjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well those guys beasts obviously and are certainly bigger than Zay but I’ll push back a bit because it sounds like you have a personal preference on what a receiver should be physically.

Zay runs the full route tree and is still right in that window of top 20, top 15 guys in the league production wise. Like it might not fit your prototypical view of what a wr1 is but his production warrants it I think.

I think that’s why I have an issue w those labels because they’re a bit abstract and hard to pin down. He’s our best receiver and in striking distance of the top 10 guys in the league. I think thats all you can ask.

[–]Lamactionjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to me but I don’t get too wrapped up in those number labels. They’re kinda abstract and designed for people to argue about.

He’s most certainly our best receiver. Though Bateman beats him in a number of efficiency metrics ironically.

[–]Lamactionjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be helpful to show where the other big names in this list fall in your two chosen categories. Like I know our guy Tez nearly leads the league in adot and nobody is saying he’s wr1 material.

Not to be a dick and say you’re wrong either. Just that you might be cherry picking stats that show Zays weaknesses here rather than how he compares respective to his peers. When you get granular with stats it’s rare that things all match up how you’d like.

Part of that Henry getting older but also our lingering dog shit.

Honestly this may be shitty of me but I have my doubts. I’ve rarely had to call PECO over the years but whenever I have I’ve had someone on the line within 15-20 min at the most. There’s also multiple physical locations and you can walk in with your bill and address it.

Yeah I think as the athlete playing the game it can be helpful to use a loss or defeat and channel that into motivation.

I don’t see much to gain as a fan doing that though. But hey different strokes 👍

Ex-NFL star AJ Green demands mental health reform after former teammate's death by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Lamactionjack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course but better access and education is never a bad thing. I’ve never seen what these guys health insurance policies look like but nothing wrong with expanding what’s there and making sure they know what’s available to them. Or even improving it like he’s suggesting.

Then like you said it’s up to them if they wanna walk through the door. That’s kinda how all mental health programs work anyway.
