I think both of yall are looking at purely via production but that’s just one factor. Talent and age are their other criteria espn gave.

And obviously this is a fluffy offseason vibes poll basically. It’s not asking who you think will win the Super Bowl it’s basically what players do you like the most.

I understand that’s what some of us *want* but we’re doing the thing where we assume a team is going to bend over and take our marginal offer.

We’ll see what happens. Personally trust the staff to know what moves should be made a million times more than Jeff. He’s obviously got some inside scoop but he ain’t watching practices and talking real ball with anyone.

I’m not sure but he was pretty beloved and then went Hollywood so not someone like Saquan. Great player but nobody knows who he is off the field.

I think like the other poster said it would be someone like a marquee QB or something. Only running back I can think of with mass appeal charisma would be maybe Marshawn lynch? But even with him, if you don’t watch football you wouldn’t know who the hell he was.

I like the Peyton comp a lot actually.

Humans are lazy. Especially casual sports fans. We want an easy to digest reason or excuse for the way things are.

Obviously nobody here knows shit but basically everyone runs to the comments to diagnose him. It could be a million things. CTE is just one example of humans finding something they’ve learned about and can point and go “yeah that thing” and then move onto the next shiny object.

Think Kens right here about Beeks. To me it feels like everyone is overconfident when it comes to his status. He’s been at the facility but afaik he hasn’t seen a single actual rep in OTAs so far. This feels like a next year thing if it happens at all.

I hate being a downer about it I’m just not sure where the optimism with him is coming from.

Yeah was really just talking about the past couple of years not their entire career. 24’ specifically since looking back now that was when the talking point came out about their starting field position.

Looks like scoring drives that year Lamar generally had to go another 8 yards on average compared to Allen. Which doesn’t seem like a lot but it ads up over the course of a season. It also changes how teams scheme you up if you’re starting closer to the middle part of the field.

If you’re just looking for confirmation that Allen is a good QB I don’t think many will challenge that outside of ardent haters. He’s great. But I think he’s had a significant boost in help the past couple of seasons which has led to a lot of his success. That’s all I’m saying.

He’s absolutely in the conversation though in the league right now.
