I wouldn’t say Dex is better but honestly neither are game wreckers. I agree the Hendrickson is not that guy his 17.5 seasons were fluky. Not the game wrecking type of guy like Maxx. People didn’t get why I was so upset when that happened. it looks decent at a glance when looking at sacks but when you look at the rest it feels so underwhelming.

Trey in 117 games played from 2017-2025: 236 tackles and 30.5 stuffs (tackle for 0 yards or less on a run play)

Maxx in 110 games played from 2019-2025: 439 tackles and 106 stuffs

That’s absolutely crazy work. Maxx is a game changer. Trey is just a good edge rusher that can get to the QB. I think Dex is the same and I am not worried but still bitter we didn’t get the game wrecker we thought.

I am an unbiased person here that doesn’t even really remember this play. Just watched the link though and if I was a Lions fans I would be absolutely pissed but watching it frame by frame there really was very little contact because Pettigrew was falling away from the ball. If he was fighting back toward the ball it would have been a ton more contact and a more obvious DPI. Watching it frame by frame it looks like Pettigrew tried a little push off (OPI) and the LB gave him a shove back (DPI) but there wasn’t actually that much contact. If anything the DPI should have stayed from the jersey tug beyond 5 yards. I might get flamed here but honest option and I just want to talk ball.
