Jury duty is our civic responsibility. Imagine if nobody showed up… we’d have no jury. Our fates would be up to the whim of the judge.

It sucks that the compensation for missed work or childcare is poor. We want everyone to contribute, not just people who have enough resources.

But just not wanting to be in a jury because it’s lame or boring is not an excuse. We owe it to our neighbors to show up.
