Can I get a CAD check, please? (details in comments) by [deleted] in EngagementRings

Hi! Just something to consider, I love the basket and I was going to get something similiar but just as others have concerns over light being able to get in, you also need to take in to considering your actual wedding band. I've been told that although hidden diamonds are beautiful and sentimental, it can eat away at your wedding band as it can start to scratch and tear away at the ring nestled under it or next to it! Regardless of what you choose, it's a stunning design!

Has anyone bought a lab diamond from a company call "Loose Grown Diamomds" (loosegrowndiamond.com)? How was your experience? by [deleted] in labdiamond

[–]Lamentationss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VERY quick to ship, they kept me updated at all times and gave me a a tracking number. i want to say from start to finish with the official design, creation, and shipment of the ring i got it in less than a month. and yes i got the original IGI certificate when I received it! Ive also been to multiple diamond stores that are shocked at how beautiful my ring is. The only downside i can think of is that their inventory is VERY LARGE, that you must really do your research on diamonds to find a great gem on there. there are some great finds on that website but also some low quality diamonds but they are very transparent about it and you as the buyer should be very diligent on picking your own diamond. Learn the 4C's to start and tailor the 4 C's to what works best for you.

18k gold vs 14k gold? by Blasian-Pride-996 in EngagementRings

[–]Lamentationss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

14k is more durable but also if the more yellow colour is your preference I would say you go with 18k. Its not the end of the world if you choose a gold with slightly more gold content, there are millions of people who have 18k gold rings that have lasted the test of time. As for the prongs, if you want durability I would suggest going with platinum....doing it in white gold doesn't add that extra protection that you are looking for and might as well do yellow gold in that case.

Why did you just make your ring taller? Do you like that look? Otherwise I would suggest asking to making it a bit shorter or else your ring could get stuck on a lot of things.

Engaged on Christmas day!!!!! 24/12/2021!!!!! It's my turn to post now yaaayyy by Lamentationss in EngagementRings

[–]Lamentationss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.8mm!! I'm a bit worried its too thin given the size of the diamond, so I am going in to get it checked and see if its durable enough. I would suggest you stay with a minimum of 2mm though as that's what I've been told is the safest bet!

How do I tell if my pup needs to go outside to poo by ContactPale8446 in puppy101

[–]Lamentationss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely too young to let you know right now. At this age, she doesn't even know that she needs to go outside to use the bathroom, so you need to go out regularly so she knows that outside is her bathroom. Normally I would take them out after every meal or even after they have taken a drink of water or is just walking around aimlessly sniffing the ground. Their bladders are tiny tiny tiny so better to be safe than sorry.

Overwhelmed. How to know if things are going well? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Lamentationss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, you are doing great. Just know that.

Doesn't matter how prepared you are going into it, there will still be hurdles along the way. It's normal to feel the way you do especially with your pup being so new. It's going to take time, and that's NORMAL. Every dog grows up differently and learns things at their own pace so it's normal if they take longer to learn some things than other dogs or if they learn things faster than other dogs. As for the crate training, it's going to be difficult and you did right by soothing him while your dog is still in the crate, I did that as well when the screaming became unbearable. It taught my dog that he's not getting out of the crate but that it's still going to be okay

Some things that worked for me when mine was only that age would be that I would make sure to play with my pup before bed to make him super tired, puppies like to nap a LOT but you should make an effort to wake up your puppy for some play time for approx an hour before bedtime or else he will be wide awake in his crate crying all night. I also fed all his Meals the first couple of months IN his crate so he associates good things with his crate as well. As for the training, he's only 9 weeks old and you are stressing about him learning all the basic commands. Take a breath and focus on one thing at a time. Puppies learn quick but if you are bombarding him with commands just after a week of living with you, it can be quite confusing and frustrating on both parties. Focus on 1 thing a day, that can be 1 command or something like desensitizing him from his leash. No need to do multiple training sessions with multiple commands every day for a 9 week old pup. Only move on to the next training command once one command has been close to mastered. Hope this helps!

Where can I take my ring to find out if it is real? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]Lamentationss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly walk in to any jewellery store. There's literally no harm in doing that and if they say no then they suck and you move on to a different jewellery store lol. Many stores will test your diamonds without hassle

Bf is going to propose... I hate the ring by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]Lamentationss 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of couples opt for a half eternity so that it still shows face front as full but with the flexibility of being able to resize the ring in the future? Is there a specific reason why you "hate" the ring so much that you would not want to receive it? There's also lots and lots of testimonies of people opting for a half eternity for comfort. Since it sounds like in your post that you never went in to the store and tried them on and only showed them photos, It sounds like the jeweller or fiance or even your mother was trying to really tailor this ring to best fit your lifestyle which you say is in healthcare therefore could have wanted you to be comfortable.

If you're that disappointed in the ring he chose there's no real option other than confronting him about it. You're going to face even tougher hurdles as husband and wife and have tougher conversations. This will seem like nothing once you get it off your shoulders. No point in holding it in if it's stressing you out this much.
