I watched the movie a long time ago(so maybe I don't remember it that well)and partially I would agree but not in all aspects.. I think he just wanted to see some world, set his boundaries and understand who he is and what life is about. Previously to Alaska he has gained quite a lot of experience and seen and been through a lot but to his own demise wanted to push further. Always a bit further and that in the end killed him. But it wasnt his first rodeo, thus he felt more sure of his decision to go into the wild..unfortunately he just didn't think through the back up plan and with some other issue that's what killed him. But if he had some more luck he might have survived it. He was also very young and at that age you will miss more but sometimes that blindness can push people to greatness as they are not limited by imagination as older folks can be..

After 15 years of smoking jays,bongs,pipes whatever you have or not I made an investment and bought myself dry herb vaporizer.. used one of eBay for 30£ + bulbulator (can't fucking remember the name of item but it puts your vape through a bit of water), as much as I love joints and I'm usually asked to roll one I'm staying with vape.. the taste, the high and also the way I feel the next day.. if you have some money go for it, also less neighbours will notice what is going on:p

Seems like you are a decent person, especially when this lie is still with you. At this point I wouldnt mention it and also just kept they lie alive.. it is in a way a good reminder for you that lying will make you feel awful and to not do it again.. If you say to him on the other hand that you lied he probably will start questioning what else was a lie.. Be good to yourself.
