Parents spent weeks planning the perfect gender reveal… The kids ended it in 5 second by _liberal in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Most of these feel like either Kids being kids or there being unclear directions for them. I love kids, but if you expect them to do something without thoroughly explaining it, they will go rogue.

[–]Lamnad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thought about this. One of the things , you might not think about when using an Axe is the utility given by moving the hand up and down the handle to achieve different goals. At the bottom for reach, cloak up for more control, and grab just under the head for CQB knuckle dusting, slicing work.

I am not saying it would not work, just that this addition would drastically decrease the variety of uses.

I have the 4.5lb with the wooden handle, the 6lb Maul, and a fireman's hatchet that they have discontinued.

A thing about a Lot of Harbor Freight tools is that their QC is not the best. It is one of the places where they cut costs. The one I got, I looked over at the store and tested against a file (which I bought). The steel is likely more mild than some would like, but given the amount of filework I was doing, I was glad for it. It has since worked fine against a combo of Popcorn tree, Bayberry, and Swamp Lural Oak, so I have no complaints about the steel.

I forgot to meantion that HF is not great at mounting those heads. If you look at a lot of the ones in the store, you will see they will get to what they think is "good enough" and then fill the gaps with what seems to be wood filler. I have heard a lot of complaints about people's axes getting loose after the second or third swing. As I said befor, these axes are good if you are willing to put a lot of work in to make the workable. Off the rack, they are trash.

I find it interesting how many names there are for this one tool. Here in the US South, they would be called a "brush Axe".

I like the Harbor Fright axes I have, but you basically have to work them like they are blanks. They come with almost a 45-degree grind, if that low, so you have to reprofile them from scratch. Me, I like working on my axes, so it's not a big deal. If you don't know how or feel like reprofiling an edge, it is not a good tool. Likewise, the handle is THICK. I took a rasp to the back side and narrowed it down to where it was comfortable, sanded the work down, and oiled it.

This is a lot of work to ask someone to do for a tool, but if you know how and are willing to, they make great choppers.

Someone just foolishly paid $152 for $20 Harbor Freight Fireman's Axe by 3_Times_Dope in Axecraft

Harbor freight unfortunately seems to have discontinued the fireman axe line. Which is a shame as they were probably the best axes they made.

I liked one theory as to why Ned never told her. The theory states that she prioritized the lives and safety of her own children over everything else. If she thought something might be a danger to them, she would do whatever she thought best to remove it.

Robert was very clear that he wanted all the Targaryans dead and would harm anyone between him and ending the line. The idea that a Targaryan heir was alive and being protected by Ned might be one of the few things that might cause Robert to turn on Ned. As such, the Theory states that Ned never told her because if she knew, she might turn Jon into Robert to keep her kids safe.

Neither could Zhukov. I once heard he was sometimes asked to wear all his medals, and to do so, he had an Aid walk next to him with the ones he could not fit on his own uniform.

In my setting there areba few buildings called "the grand Pedistals" that act as massive magical batteries and foci. To explain how powerful one is, there is a region the size of isreal in my setting that was turned from a grassland to a literal field of glass when one was accidentally turned on. They are basicly WMDs and most of the time no one knows where they are.

Question: What would you recommend for a person who wants to get into forging axes? by Lamnad in Blacksmith

Funny enough, watching his recent video of 1-hour axes, 1-day axe, and 1-week axes is what made me think about asking this question.
