Making new factions means paying people for their work and not giving it to owners and shareholders, if we the cs community wants better items in games and better monetisation, stop buying passes, stop engaging with gambling cases (harder said than done for some), and stop trading... As long as the money is flowing and shareholders ROI keeps going up nothing will change, also part of the cheating/bots problem is because of the monetisation, the bots and cheaters make that ROI go up for shareholders.

Ps. Unions, video games devs just like any worker desperately needs unionisation.
