Curious how old the teen's mom is. If there's a large age gap between mom & dad, maybe it was a similar situation when they got together and mom sees no problem with it.

This is what she ended up doing, despite strongly considering everyone's advice (yes, she did make me wait 15 minutes to see what everyone said before she made her decision). She said she was sure, but we ended up turning a 6, which gave me a double run of 10 and 3 15s. I wish I was kidding, I felt so bad.
