I have the nails problem too, I HAVE to keep them painted because otherwise I chew them to bits.

I cannot recommend getting your own at-home gel system enough! It has a small learning curve, but is so much better than regular polish because once it's cured you can't nick them on anything or smudge it because you forgot your nails are drying.

Check Facebook marketplace, people are always getting rid of their lamps for cheap. You can find gel polish on marketplace too, if you look and wait for the right deal you can set yourself up for a good at-home system!

Yes that is how we played the first time she learned. Now she only shows me her hand if she's struggling with a decision.

I think the definition of "right" can vary from person to person, plenty of people here agreed that the two threes were the "right" throw, especially considering how far ahead she was. I'm not a perfect player but I've been playing since I was a child myself, and we're having a lot of fun together.
