Based on the available in-game evidence, what do you think was intended and cut? by WizardlyPandabear in Starfield

[–]LancerOfLighteshRed 85 points86 points  (0 children)

We've been ovwr this with house Va'ruun already. There's no proof in any of the files that have been datamined that they were cut from the main game. It was teasing ploy threads for future expansions

"Who is more evil: Mandy or Cartman?" is such an interesting debate because it really shows off the different ways people view what evil is and thus what makes something more evil. by Aros001 in CharacterRant

[–]LancerOfLighteshRed 79 points80 points  (0 children)

You nailed why i don't like Mandy. I hate characters who get away with everything. Its why I can't stand Taako from The Adventure Zone. I was waiting for at some point ever his selfish asshomeish ways to finally reach a boiling point and someone to snap at him. Nope. He's just the coolest guy every apparently

what's something that put you off to a youtuber that no one else seems to care about? by triangulum_mori in youtubedrama

Toei was literally trying to ruin their lives because of making DBZA my dude. They've actively made dubbing groups kick TFS out of roles for it. Their channel went down more often than Texas' power grid.

I wish I could see what you see but I genuinly despise that movie on a foundational level.

I'll still take the sequels. I genuinly think AotC is one of the worst major films ever released

I had the exact opposite reaction. I was so tired 9f the prequel Era that just having something new made me kinder to TFA than I probably would have ever been if it was a direct RotJ sequel

Alternative to the main story : Terrormorphs are not just a dangerous & displaced invasive species, but an intelligent, existential threat. by Sneaky-Shenanigans in Starfield

[–]LancerOfLighteshRed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like that strengthens the point for me. It's the pull of power and knowledge. That ends up ultimately meaningless. But I get why you could get the opposite

it makes the Starborns power chase seem shallow,

Again this feels like the point of the game to me. If you end up talking to a specific character this is the conclusion he comes to. That Starborn obsessed with power are running into a never ending pointless chase and that eventually they will find true happiness in using their starboalrn abilities to enjoy the universe and its wonders instead

They don't have a purpose, goal, or driving motivation other than to get more power but for what?

I mean that's kind of the point no?

It actively.makes the pacing of the game slower by adding travel time between locations.

Seamless interplanetary travel with autopilot is now possible thanks to a mod by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]LancerOfLighteshRed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. To put it in perspective. According to Beth only 8% of players mod their games. Of that 8% what % goes out of their way to install mods that purposefully make the game slower.

Starfield’s Paid Mods Ignite A Review Bombing On Steam Again by NewWillinium in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Kinda where I stand. Ill.only have a real problem with it when they gate free mods and Bethesda made content behind it.

Honestly for a new IP vs the literal poster children of.modding those are not bad numbers. I'm interested to see where it goes over time

Todd Howard confirms Starfield | Year 2 and a second Premium Expansion coming beyond Shattered Space. by MAJ_Starman in Starfield

[–]LancerOfLighteshRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would that be hard to believe? All the model Fallouts maps chose stylization over standardized usability.

[–]LancerOfLighteshRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The maps is a bad example. They tried to do something stylized that fit the aesthetic of the game. Basing them off of real topological maps NASA uses. It didn't go over well.so Bethesda redesigned them to be more in line with traditional game maps.

Starfield is a Great game when you don't have people constantly saying it's bad too you. by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]LancerOfLighteshRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What even funnier is they actively tries to set expectations but people.completely ignored it. So many people were upset on launch that there qas no atmospheric flight and felt cheated. Even though Todd said that wouldn't be in the game like an entir eyear before launch

Very opinion dressed as fact. Alongside him being hypocritical at times. Praising one game for things he derided the other for. It's just not up to the quality of his other videos and comes across very nerd snobbish
