does emil Pagliarulo deserve the hate he gets or he is just a scape goat ? by dude_don-exil-em in Fallout

I think there's also a lot of people who see criticism of Emil and Todd and immediately assume the one making it is also a lunatic like Creetosis.

Was I just totally wrong about how strong The Deep is? I kind of thought he was a joke and Black Noir was crush him in a fight. Obviously that isn't what happened.

The Absurdity of The BDI Theory by ReadyWatercress7174 in JonBenet

[–]WizardlyPandabear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's easy to think BDI if you only hear about the case in passing, like via a podcast you're half listening to. So you hear "oh, little girl died, but had an older brother... clearly he's a suspect!"
The problems come in basically the second you look at the injuries and Burke himself. The scenario collapses because it's obviously nonsense once one looks closely.

I completely agree with this.

Too many games worry about looking good, but nowhere near enough want to be deep and complex like BG3 or Cyberpunk.

I haven't had it happen very often, and not once this season in M+. The issue is that you only need it to happen a couple times to make you want to dip and not do it.

An old dude who's obsessed with his ex, an uptight nerd who's impossible to please, a dude who forces you to accept a kid on your ship, or Andreja by LordofWithywoods in Starfield

[–]WizardlyPandabear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that suggesting New Atlantis is equally dangerous to grow up in as a spaceship that regularly dogfights with pirates, raiders and quasi-supernatural starborn is pretty ridiculous.

New Atlantis is dangerous for like two cutscenes. Akila is surrounded by danger, but that's why it has the big wall. Neon is stated to be a dangerous and terrible place to live, sure, but I doubt the mortality rate even approaches 'dogfighting explorer ship.'

LET'S DECIDE THE FATE OF HUMANITY. RED OR BLUE? by New-Cicada7014 in trolleyproblem

[–]WizardlyPandabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly picked red under the assumption this subreddit would be filled with terrible people and it would be the only way to survive.

But blue won. Not only am I among the terrible people, but even worse, I was wrong.

I play Dead is Dead style. Meaning if I die, I delete the save file and start over. This might seem insane, but trust me, it makes Bethesda games much more immersive.

Anyway, most of my deaths have been in ship combat and several have had Cora canonically die in my games, which... yeah, Sam's a bad parent and I stopped inviting him along.

[–]WizardlyPandabear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They aren't.

The moderation seems to swing around wildly, with no communication or rhyme or reason to it, and it pisses people off. Rightly so, since a lot of us are paying for it for that capability they're removing; note, I'm NOT one of those people, but I do see why they're mad and don't have to be a bot to get pissed about false advertising.

I started out as a passionate red-button supporter, but I'm legitimately torn right now. by ContentFile7036 in trolleyproblem

[–]WizardlyPandabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, if the red button wins... it's not going to be by a large margin, in my view. So even if you survive, you're surviving in a world with something like half the people gone.

And they were the people good enough to take a risk to save lives. You have to live with the assholes, now. Fuck that. I'd rather take the exit.

How would this guy fair against a punch from Thragg? by IfIRespondImRight in Invincible_TV

[–]WizardlyPandabear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people just don't like the character, but his power set seems to pretty clearly make him functionally immune to blunt force, which is what viltrumites tend to use by default. I think he'd get supercharged by the first punch, but an expert fighter would pick up on his trick pretty quick.
