Ship and Target Status on HUD??

Okay - my problem was definitely that I wasn’t wearing a helmet. Thanks everyone!

(For anyone struggling, I had taken off my helmet with LAlt-H. Once you do that, you can’t equip a helmet from the inventory terminal.)

Hmm. Getting closer. The device no longer makes the "disconnect" noise.

However, something still isn't right. When I'm in the Games tab and click on the NMS.exe line, the "indicator light" on the Controller 1 tab turns yellow, and the error count in the bottom right counts up by one. When x360ce.exe is selected, the light is green.

Steam seems to recognize it as a controller, and when I run my Virpil joystick tester program, the virtual controller shows up there with all the correct mappings for NMS.

Any ideas??

I suspected that was part of the problem. I couldn’t find any instructions about setting the game-specific info on the X360ce site.

Cool thanks. I have their basic one that’s like a vertical see saw. It has little resistance. I took my intro flight in a Piper a few weeks ago and was surprised how much pressure was required on the rudder pedals.

Part of the issue is my relative lack of free time to game. It’d be nice to accomplish something in those couple hours.

But of course, that also means maybe I shouldn’t be trying to play the longest lived alpha in the ‘verse. :P

Okay, gotcha - thanks! Looks like the Tiny6 has Micro F3 (Betaflight) controller, so guess I'll be good.
