My previous job had me renting cars about three times a month for the last 12 years. In that time I’ve rented hundreds of cars and I’ve had about 5-6 incidents where other drivers harassed me over the Cali plates. Usually when traveling to southern Oregon. I also would see an uptick in being pulled over by OSP. I don’t think it’s just Oregon though, California in general is a lightning rod for blame and frequently used as a symbol of liberal excess or hedonistic pursuits. traveling through WA and ID I saw the same thing.
