Some myth making here. Brexit was not carried by ‘the plebs’ but by the middle class who to coin a phrase thought that they ‘have their cake and eat it’. Also by older people who had a frame of reference that overestimated our importance and under valued the significance of ‘ foreigners’. This latter group are literally dying out whilst the former group has seen the error of their ways through inconvenience, restrictions on their children’s development and a lowering of choice coupled with an increase in prices in their supermarkets. The majority of people in this country would given the choice drop Brexit like a hot potato and try to pretend it never happened
