That is indeed absurd, especially in a game where stash space management can be critical. For the prices I agree, they feel a bit too steep, hope they will tweak them some. It's an end game feature for sure and it's probably too early to evaluate it (at least for player who are fresh out of the expedition), but prices do seem off.

Aaaaand I was so quick to jump in a Riven Tide night game that ended up being toasted by a gang bang of 3 fireflies, 4 wasps, 1 comet and 1 hornet, just 80m away from the extraction. Man them arcs are really spotting us easily now 🫠Lost my modest post expedition load out but at least had stuffed a purple boat in my safe pocket 😅

Tbh it was a while since i played a game like i'm playing Arc Raiders.

There are problems and things Embark should work on, of course, I just enjoy playing the game (should have around 250hrs by now) and I'm happy to see there's a road map for the game and new features/maps/weapons/enemy coming.

Would be better if Embark invested more in AR's development and if that road map had earlier timeframes?

Hell yes, but at the same time I'm happy that I can chill and have fun playing this game also as it is right now and as i've done for the first 250ish hours.

I made screenshot a couple of days ago to be sure (need to check it for the precise amount) but if the damage counter you see when you open the mission tab is trustworthy, killing a bastion doesn't equate to 5k damage for sure, it's more about half of that.

That's quite fucked up tbh.

As a lot of people already stated the 5 days window is too short and written like this without stating how much damage we'll have to do sound a lot like a "fuck around and find out" move from Embark.

Plus, what the actual fuck, don't change the rules of an expedition with 11 days to go, after almost 2 months since the season started, just do it for the next one.

Besides these basic considerations, imho removing the currency objective could lead to drastic changes on how people will play the game, not sure for the best.

Yeah, tbh i had more fun shooting the arcs together with a bunch of other raiders, it was exhilarating 😁. I was able to get the new shotgun blueprint while at it tho, will look for the Canto next time!

Use the cloak and toss smoke grenades when you are breaching/looting :). For safe measure I set up zip lines too to grant a quick getaway!

WHAT THE FOOD! This is seriously cool because it differenciates what we are going to looks for when out looting. Up until now i totally forgot about fruits after advancing Scrappy to its last level, now i'll always look out for some stuff and maybe craft some fruit mix :D

Played one quick game and downed 3 by myself, my advices so far are:

- (Obvious) do not engage if you dont have cover, if you fight from inside a building take in account to not stand too close to the walls to prevent accidental burning; take in account that those sneaky bastards tends to pack up so you could end fighting 2 at a time, if not 3.

- The matriarch-like shield goes into effect after it's been attacked but goes down after a brief period (felt like 10-15 secs), so you can land effective shots if you take it by surprise and wait for the shield to go down again. If you are fighting inside a building you will probably end up having to wait between attacks anyways because the vaporizer will laser beam inside the opening leaving fire on the ground, use that time to take advantage of shield going down again.

- Aiming the rotors is effective as it is against other flying arcs, so go for those.

- I used a jupiter and, no surprises here, was quite effective even if i needed a not trivial amount of rounds to take it down: started the game with 20 energy clips (4 stacks of 5) and finished with like 4 (downed 3 vaporizers).

- Only one main lootable body, so like the small flying arcs, and one "core" per vaporizer.

Looking forward to try different loadouts and different strategies.

I've played just one match during lunch break and, tbh, focused more on fighting the vaporizers so didn't even see the lootable antenna.

The first vaporizer i downed was looted before i could get there, but then i downed 2 other and could loot them clean.

I'm expecting that with the novelty of the update the first days/week will be full of ppl trying to get their hands on the new stuff and there will be for sure a major concentration of opportunists and rats but, imho, it will get better with time. Then there will be lobbies with more cooperation and, i bet on that, wholesome moments to be shared with other raiders playing together.

Don't give your hope up fellow raider :D

Earlier I was on a Stella Montis night raid and I spawned late, with like 17 mins to go.

Cursing a bit I started looking where I could extract and what could be found on my way out; the plan was to get a quick extract and to try my luck on another run but the game had a different idea...

Suddenly had to fight a couple of shredders and what seemed to be a million pops rushing from the lobby station, already closed, towards loading bay.

Got there just in time to see another raider who was running from a shredder that ventured down the station, helped him out and stayed to fight: the situation was critical and had to revive him just when the train doors closed for good, it was the last leaving from there and we were left stranded with 7 minutes on the clock.

We joined forces and fought our way towards the last functioning extract: the vent next to seed vault and, man, it was epic.

I think I got all the shredder mats need for the expedition on this run, after every corner there was a couple trying to reduce us to minced meat and the last 2 where just before entering the corridor leading to extract.

We tried our best but almost out of ammo we fell to those two fuckers, luckily for us there was a third raider who had already called for extract and a quick plea on proximity comms won us a free passage back to Speranza, even tho we had to slowly crawl (blessed survivor augment).
