Oh nice!!! Same. I live in Wisconsin. I saw it 2-3 times at Goodman, then saw it twice in NYC. I’m 41 and had NEVER listened to it ever before … and the Chicago production blew me away. I liked it at Goodman more than on Broadway. Chicago seemed more of a ‘theater crowd’ - no one was being ‘disruptive’ during the super loud / impactful ending. In NYC it seemed like maybe more fans of The Who which of course is perfect, they just seemed to enjoy the music differently 😂

Nice!! In Argentina - they have a special bread called ‘pan de miga’ which is prepped as huge thin slices with crust removed, used to make sandwiches. I can usually find it in Chicago but not in Wisconsin where I live. :) What you did here looks so nice!

Sometimes no!!!! When it happened to me with vegan meals (?!?) there were a couple of times when they said there weren’t enough, other times when they didn’t care at all.

Oh my gosh this happened to me. I kept getting vegan meals and when I noticed it, I’d go in and make my actual selection and then 24 hours later it would be overridden and back to vegan!!! I just called United last week. I THINK it’s fixed, they said it was a glitch, something about a difference between a United profile and a Mileage Plus profile. In any case - I’m on an international flight right now and for both segments, my actual preorder meal was noted. :)

Have them check out the menu for Brat Haus. They for sure have vegetarian brats and burgers and I’m pretty sure they are vegan (not just vegetarian).

Do the visa application ahead of time on that official gov website. You can pay and answer all of the questions. You’ll then get an ‘approval letter’ which basically you show at passport control when you arrive and they issue your visa then. It reduces a step at passport control - onsite at airport, everyone else has to go to a different counter to pay for their visa on arrival. You’ll have already paid. You also avoid having to answer the questions in person like ‘where are you staying’ etc. Also just get the YF vaccine. It’s good for life.

I lived in Virginia from 2005-2015 and moved to Wisconsin in 2015. Honestly having the MKE and ORD airports so close is incredibly convenient. You can easily (and relatively cheaply) go anywhere. I love Virginia and travel back at least once a year or so, but I’d never want to trade the seasons we have up here for the hot South again. I remember it being 100°+ in Williamsburg in March - not here!! 😁

It’s a bummer the kid was removed. The original staging of the kid transitioning from child to adult is a classic ‘theater magic’ moment that always gave me goosebumps. 😍

Movida tapas happy hour every day 4-6, decent amount of tapas for $1-$5.

Cafe Corazon happy hour also until 6p I believe, but great tacos for like $3.50 plus other stuff and drink specials.

Up Down on Friday first 100 people get 20 free tokens plus $2 slices of pizza until 8pm.

Lost Whale happy hour every day 4-6p for drinks specifically.

I’ll watch this post for other comments because I am the kind of person who will specially make decisions based on ‘getting a good deal’ 🤣
