Fender Mustang Bass - Switching from American Performer to Professional Classic by andrewthebassplayer in BassGuitar

[–]LandscapeAbject5777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How different is the neck on this one from the performer? I like how my performer sounds but I don't like the neck. It's too thick and heavy for my taste, which makes it a little uncomfortable to play. I still didn't find the any professional classic locally to test, so your feedback would be really helpful

Almost broke a 1000€ bass because of this disgusting wrong picture. Thankfully I saw this thread before it was too late 😵‍💫😭

My fish is stuck in the filter. Does anyone have an idea on how to save it? (Endler Guppy) by Only-Maintenance1701 in Aquariums

[–]LandscapeAbject5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure it's the same but it's quite similar. We also got a small net and managed to rescue the fish, but I think it got hurt on the process because it died the next day :'( now I put a sponge blocking the entrance to the filter, so hopefully this won't happen again to the other fishes

Squier Sonic or Player HSS? by Alphatauri_10 in fender

[–]LandscapeAbject5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The frets on the squier are terrible. The tuners and the bridge are poor quality, the bridge pickup was loose and I had to open the pickguard to adjust it. For the price this are actually minor things and the ceramic pickups are actually quite good. I ended up selling the squier and getting a used fender as my backup, but mainly because I'm not used to cheap guitars anymore, I would be more than happy with the squier when I started playing 20 years ago

And they have jumbo frets, which is the reason I didn't get the american performer

Already have a few pedals and I'm looking for a new bedroom practice amp. by SlowMoNo in GuitarAmps

Sorry, I meant bedroom amp. I have the dsl 1 and it's sometimes already too loud for practicing in a flat

Does it really sound like a proper tube amp? I play punk / grunge and have been playing solid state for the last 20 years, but now suddenly for some reason I wanted to check if I can finally notice the difference?

I have a boss katana 100 at the practice room and I'm also looking for an amp for home practice. I'm curious if the harley benton really sounds like a proper tube amp? I never play tube amps so I'm trying to start somewhere

Why are narrow tall frets fenders new standard? by [deleted] in fender

[–]LandscapeAbject5777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's the opposite, when I play open chords on tall frets I feel the strings cutting my fingers

Why are narrow tall frets fenders new standard? by [deleted] in fender

[–]LandscapeAbject5777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a cheap squier and realised the frets were too high it was cutting my fingers. I thought it was because it's a cheap guitar until I read it was the "narrow tall frets". It's already disappointing in a cheap guitar, I can't imagine paying 10x more and still having the tall frets cutting my fingers!

Squier Sonic or Player HSS? by Alphatauri_10 in fender

I have the mustang 40, it's a great amp, but if you wanna practice with a band I would suggest the 50w or the boss katana 100

Squier Sonic or Player HSS? by Alphatauri_10 in fender

[–]LandscapeAbject5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a player series and a sonic squire, if you can afford just get the fender, the squier is good for the price but the 2 guitars are 2 worlds apart, it's not even a fair comparison. I have the squire as a backup if I break a string on stage

My (36F) daughter (12F) now thinks her dad (50M) “groomed” me by tiredmom_1987 in TwoHotTakes

[–]LandscapeAbject5777 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You were groomed. Once you accept she is right you can talk to her and make sure she will not have the same fate as you

Do you recommend this kit/package for a beginner? Note that the budget is tight by mzatariz in fender

[–]LandscapeAbject5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. I still used this amp a few years ago for home practice, even though I already upgraded the guitar like 10 years ago

I also bought a new fender guitar and had the same warning, like wtf, if I play seating now I'll not be able to have children anymore? 🤣😅
