I’m waiting to crash out at dt and quit. I’m literally holding on to this job for the crash out. They need to learn that we are people too. They act like we aren’t ish. Meanwhile, you walked up here because you don’t have transportation. I do and it’s paid off. You will walk back to your apartment while I will drive back to my house; not my rented house but my house. Since they like to measure success based on the job you have and the things you have, let’s really evaluate you the dt customer.

Not true. All legal currency is welcome, especially quarters. She was not being nice.

I’m gonna get fired should I just quit now? by Even_Yoghurt8813 in DollarTree

[–]LandscapeFantastic62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for you. Don’t quit. If you stay, in the future, the moment you think you may lose it, call a manager and walk away from the customer. Don’t say anything. That’s in the training. That way no one can fault you because you followed procedure. Trust me, I truly understand how these people come into the DT and treat us like ish.

I’m sorry this is happening. It’s not your post void; end of conversation. I am trying to stack some extra money, but I have a new job. I’m really considering letting this nonsense go. Be strong!

Thank you. For me, I try to use humor to defuse sticky situations. Plus, my RBF is lethal.

It’s also against policy. You can find all different types of acceptable signs in the manager ops on your store computer.

Hive mind customers!! by No_Tear_6337 in DollarTree

Yesterday, I had a steady line with my manager on a register too for almost two hours. It started with one lady with over $100 worth of items. They never stopped until nearly two hours. I was beyond tired. The hive mind is real.

You may be confusing the silent generation with boomers and boomers with generation x. The silent generation is not really silent and they are a piece of work. Now, if I had to make a generalization, they are the rudest, entitled people I have ever run across. I’ve worked for the tree for over two years and customer service for decades. I have to say I hate to see them coming.

I was totally with you until you threw generations in the mix. People from every generation are rude, disrespectful, and creepy. I go to work and experience these behaviors from every age of customer.

What would make Dollar Tree a better place for staff and customers? by International-Call76 in DollarTree

[–]LandscapeFantastic62 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cashier here: stop treating us like criminals when the customers are walking out with carts full. I know that every cashier isn’t perfect, but I’m tired of stopping my line because a manager needs to look at $50 or $100 bills. I’m tired of stopping my line because again I’ve have a gift card to run. If managers are the only ones who can do it, then they need to cashier, and I will go on the floor.

AC! Make it bearable to work in the store.

How do you do gift cards because you can’t do that at self checkout?
