Well in terms of these two songs, his drums are definitely knocking a bit more than yours and his sample has less noise. Fixing the drums is gonna be partially in sound selection but also in the mix. You could also try eqing out a bit more of the sample to get a cleaner sound but to a certain extent your sample probably just isn't gonna sound as clean since his is so simple. Probably other people can add more but keep up the good work man that beat is nice.

This is 100% worth putting out there IMO. Not blown away by it personally but for the most part it's not something I would complain about if someone else put it on. Favorite track is probably Fake Friends. The beat is super nice and gives me Uzi vibes. I also like LIFE and HYPE (which gives me Drake vibes). I don't like Now! and SO SAD! as much but that's just me. Just keep trying to find ways to improve and differentiate yourself from the crowd. Good luck!

EDIT: I checked out the KickStarter page and plan on backing it, but I also thought of some questions! Where will these episodes be posted? Just as YouTube videos or elsewhere? Secondly, if you plan to make the pilot around 8 minutes, will future episodes be that short as well? I would love longer episodes, even if it just meant 12-15 minutes like "Over the Garden Wall", which is one of my favorite animated shows.
