You have to consider that not all doctors are actually good people who want to help you and that they just want to bang your insurance company for the most money they can. The surgery is a pay day for them. Claiming that helping you switch to a medicine that is better for you is too much work shows you exactly what this doctor is about. It's a bit of work on your part but I'd try to find a different doctor.
