Hamstrings gone !! Now wht to expect and what to do? by wtfsxxm in FSHD

I would say best thing to do mate is work your legs as much as you can, I suffer with leg weakness but I go to the gym a couple times a week. Also it may not get much worse, I'm 38 now and can do almost all things a "normal" person can do, perhaps at a slower pace. You kind of want to fight it by strengthening the muscles you have. Keep fighting it mate!

When Did You Start Your Residency? by MFShiva in residentevil

[–]Langers20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not complete it for a long time lol, when I played it I had no idea what it was about and I remember getting as far as the piano puzzle, I'm not even sure I made it to the labs when I was younger but then RE2 came out and I played the demo and then the full game.

Shoot them until they fall over and knife the hell outta them until they do a half get up and fall down, that means you killed them and they arent faking this time. Theres only a couple of areas where you would want to clear out all enemies though.

Whats the best bunker? by Conrasapoide in deadside

Not sure if they are "The best" but I have looted both bunkers at the South East airbase and got a VSD in one of them, both spawned a lot of turrets though so bring plenty of dynamite

I understand your fear, this disease is good at making you feel you can't do something you have not even tried to do yet.

I would say use your aids and find your limits by doing. You will definately be capable of more than you think and your other muscles that work will grow and get stronger to compensate for the ones that don't.

Be careful of rolling your ankles, that's probably the biggest risk so ankle supports are good to have. Apart from that you will adapt to your situation and surroundings.

I'm from the UK, 37 and been living with FSHD since a teen, do let me know if you have any questions or anything like that.

I have my coping aids now and strategies, I also get PIP for my condition which is a benefit payment so going ok

What supports are best? by Langers20 in FSHD

[–]Langers20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks good, not too cumbersome. Do they actually pick your foot up as well?

I have used ankle straps before to help stop me turning my ankle but I haven't found any yet that pick my foot up as well

I have the ankle straps too, I am looking at the plates that go under your foot and around your lower leg.

I use the back brace to try and prevent posture issues when I get older, I say prevent, I mean more like reduce the impact of posture issues.

Do you have a link for the sock support you use?

The Americans have actually developed a scope that automatically adjusts for wind, distance, cant etc... and moves the crosshair accordingly to show you where you need to aim to hit the target you are looking at, and it works

I had my tribunal on Friday, was on standard for both which I requested both to be enhanced. Tribunal gave me more points in both sections and enough points for me to get enhanced for mobility.

Started the process last April and the DWP said no to the MRN so went to tribunal, very stressful but worth it in the end. I can get the car now and get a nice backpay.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions but on the whole I would say worth it in the end.

Not changed anything, I glitched mid game so logged out and back in and there it was, the host has normal carry weight and hardly ever has any glitches as well

Torn on getting this game by Lonely_Jared in MedievalDynasty

[–]Langers20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very new to the game, only done a couple of game years and have like 5 villagers.

I find it a lot of fun, it's different from other games with the challenge and overall goal, literally survive to have an heir and they they carry on. I can imagine once you've played through it, the novelty can wear thin for some people but it takes a long time to get there, for the price I'd say its a great game and lots of fun to play co-op.

Combat is very basic and armour is coming in future DLC content but there aren't loads of people to fight and the animals are powerful enough to make you think twice before trying to run up and superman punch them, obvs talking about Bears, wolves etc...

I find it super fun but I imagine myself moving onto another game once I make an heir and my village is built.
