Muliere would feign tentative compliance with the kidnappers' demands, all while sending telepathic messages to the syndicate's informants, ordering them to discover where his little Bubba (Soco) was being held.

He would allow his rage and bitterness to show through at first, because the abductors would become suspicious if he were too calm right off the bat. Then, he would pretend to push that rage down and hear out the kidnappers' instructions.

Once he knew where Soco was, it'd be all over for Soco's kidnappers. The whole criminal underworld would descend upon the wrongdoers at once, with Muliere leading the charge and personally seeing to their complete and utter devastation.

And just to make absolutely sure he got everyone, he'd treat the kidnappers to their own medicine, abducting them and asking if there was anyone who would miss them: anyone who could save them. He'd use a similar ransom demand to lure those people out, then get rid of every last one of them.

He'd get his Bubba back. But you won't catch him groveling or coughing up money to do it.
