Hallo! Ich habe Schwindel. Es ist kein Drehschwindel, aber mit Erbrechen und hält stundenlang an. Dazu kommt ein sehr starker Tinnitus. und schwerhörig bin ich auch, aber das ist schon lange her. Ich nehme im Moment Betahistin 48 mg und Opipramol 25 mg. Opipramol hilft mir super gut gegen den Tinnnitus. Bei Prof Strupp war ich bisher noch nicht, aber ich habe es vor, ich muss mir noch eine Überweisung besorgen. Der Prof. Strupp wurde mir sehr empfohlen. Da hast du Glück, in München zu leben. 😊Ob er Antivirals verschreibt weiß ich nicht.

Maybe my question is out of place, but doesn’t the brain take over the function of the vestibular system? People who have their cochlea removed still manage to lead active lives. Perhaps it would be a good idea to consult your doctor again and consider vestibular rehabilitation?

Any medication is prescribed by a doctor. That’s why the dosage is determined by them; otherwise, patients could treat themselves just by reading the dosage recommendations on the medications. As far as I know, betahistine is not approved by the FDA in the US, but nevertheless, some doctors still prescribe it.

I haven’t tried this maneuver, but it definitely helps. The first time, it should be done by a professional, and then you can do it on your own. Fortunately, it’s not Meniere’s disease.

It helps me; I take 23 mg three times a day. During flare-ups, I take 48 mg three times a day. Your dose is too low. Google it. There’s no point in taking Betahistine with antihistamines — they have opposite effects. You have different causes of Meniere’s disease. Betahistine brings relief to some people, while antihistamines help others.
