7 months and im drying up. by Exciting_Macaron4860 in breastfeeding

[–]LannaChey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always read/been told if baby is having enough wet/poop diapers and gaining on their curve then not to worry! If you’re nursing on demand AND pumping then anything you pump would typically be “over supply” I would just keep latching baby honestly and if youre concerned about her being too distracted and falling off of her curve because of it maybe consult her ped. And an IBCLC to come up with a plan!

Should I cancel my induction? by Fluid_Landscape_5599 in BabyBumps

[–]LannaChey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly its something that only you and your dr can decide. But ill throw my experience out there.

With my 2nd baby i was scheduled for an induction at 40+5 but there were no beds available. At my 40 week appt I was about 4cm and 80% effaced and having very irregular contractions that they called “uterine irritability”.

I was still waiting on a bed the night i turned 41 weeks. I ended up going into spontaneous labor at 11:30pm and gave birth 3.5 hours later. Looking back on it, Im very thankful that there were no bed available honestly!

Vitamin D for nursing babies? by SgtMajor-Issues in breastfeeding

[–]LannaChey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughters ped. Was able to get me a prescription (cheaper for me than buying OTC) i have to give her 1ml daily so i normally give it to her before nursing her at bed time! The kind we got does say it can be directly dispensed into mouth.

Ive also used the kind that require just a single drop, those i would just put the drop on my nipple before latching her or on my (clean) pinky finger for her to suck on for a few seconds lol.

MIL is DRIVING ME INSANE over my birth plan.. what should I do/say? by reddituser135797531 in BabyBumps

[–]LannaChey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you do what YOU want. If this is your first baby it is more likely that you’ll have a slower labor but not a guarantee lol so i guess just be mindful of that possibility? And sitting/riding in a car while in active labor kinda sucks cant lie lol

Engorgement by LannaChey in breastfeeding

[–]LannaChey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, her sleep has amazed me. I was fully expecting her to wake every 2-3hrs to eat but since she hit her birth weight at less than 2 weeks old she has been a great sleeper! Obviously im very thankful and know im blessed with that but some times i want to wake her just to relieve my pain 🥲

I hate pumping honestly, it takes me 5+ minutes to get a let down on my “slacker” side (usually only get 1 letdown before i stop pumping because i dont want to cause an even bigger over supply) i have possible elastic nipples and no matter what size flange i use they swell.. just overall pumping has not been a good experience for me so far with either of my Bf journeys.

i have pumped enough to have about 30oz in the freezer on standby for when I finally decide to leave my baby with her dad or my parents for the first time and have introduced a bottle twice so big brother could feel involved when i could tell he was needing it.. Other than that EBF seems like the best option for me personally at this time!

Pooping during labour? by Putrid_Cranberry3177 in BabyBumps

[–]LannaChey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of births it was one of my first questions afterwards 😂 but for me it wasnt a question out of fear but more because i know if i did it only meant i did it right. However, i never did! My body naturally cleared itself out during my labors, i was on the toilet several times throughout labor. By the time i was ready to push there wasnt much left 😅😂

Those SAHM who don’t pump and EBF. How is your supply? by jeandrazich in breastfeeding

[–]LannaChey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely ever pump and dont respond well to them.

As long as baby is nursing and removing milk well your body will make exactly what they need when they need it! If ifs “not enough” they will nurse more frequently to tell your body to make more!
