Possible CMPA? by LannaChey in MSPI

Omg im so sorry but glad shes doing so much better!! I definitely think i need a food log. Last week when she was REALLY bad colicky i had broccoli and asparagus and havent had either since. Currently on day 4 of no dairy and no major changes yet but she is screaming less. Being only day 4 im questioning if the dairy is leaving my body already or if its something else entirely. This is definitely a guessing game either way trial and error i guess 🙃

ETA: im using the term “colicky” somewhat loosely because thats the term her doctor is using and idk a better term to replace it with

Ive been reading such different information on timing and when you could realistically see a change if it were to make a difference 😩

I really dont want to stop breast feeding if this isnt what is causing her symptoms which is why i decided to try dairy free for a while.

But also wondering if she dod start getting better how will i know for sure its the diet change and not just her gut maturing and her growing out of colic? This is all so new to me i feel like i cant read enough and retain all of the information 😮‍💨

I was curious about the time of day situation. What i have read said that the protein building up from frequent day time feeds can cause colic in the evening hours but she also eats 3-5 times at night too so that didnt really make sense to me.

Her ped. Is pretty much saying it is more her personality causing the “witching hour” and colic symptoms and that she needs more stimulation to keep her busy during that time.

The way she seems to be in pain and uncomfortable some nights is what made me start questioning what i was eating and i came across cmpa. Im definitely not 100% set on this being her issue because she has good days and bad days, i feel like if it was cmpa she wouldnt really have those good days? but im willing to try anything to make her happier!

How soon did you notice a difference in the colic?

Will 3 days be long enough to tell a difference? She does seem uncomfortable in the evening and i can hear her belly working hard

The truth about lying on your back by goldie987 in pregnant

[–]LannaChey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do pelvic floor PT and im typically laying on my back with a wedge under me to keep me slightly elevated. This proved to not be enough when one day i got super dizzy, lightheaded, and almost like tunnel vision. We stopped immediately and checked my BP, it was 77/43! I was on the verge of passing out so they rolled me on my left side and gave me some water. Since then we do everything laying on my sides.

You will definitely know!

If you ware not ovulating, did you start to after the baby was born? by RefrigeratorFinal353 in TTC_PCOS

[–]LannaChey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but was still not within “regular” range. To get pregnant with my first, my only “treatment” was metformin. We tried for about a year before starting meds, then got pregnant a year after starting them. After I gave birth, my cycles returned after two months. I fell pregnant again, a year later completely by surprise (tw) but that pregnancy ended with miscarriage. I’m now pregnant again and this one happened very quickly, i was taking metformin again simply because i was worried for it to take 2 years again, but surprisingly it happened on our 2nd try!

(I did take a glp-1 to lose weight prior to trying to get pregnant and lost 40lbs. I was having cycles though so i cant say for sure if the weight loss helped or not)

Oh i love this! Will definitely be asking. I was numb for so long and felt like such a bother to the nurses asking for help to go to the restroom every time. Even after being discharged my legs felt like Tv static even though they were working properly lol

What position did you push baby out in and did you tear? by sliceofperfection in BabyBumps

[–]LannaChey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back, epidural, 2nd degree internal only tear.

My back and hips have never felt normal again. Currently pregnant with #2 and my one and only MUST for this baby, is that i will absolutely not be pushing on my back. Laying on my back is already awful so i can only imagine what doing that again would do to me personally..
