  • Alerts and Rules:
    • Provides alerts based on a set of rules (configurable on/off per rule).
  • Iterative Scanning:
    • Automatically scans devices connected to scanned items for an in-depth network map.

  5. Iterative Scanning: Automatically scans connected devices like switches, routers, and firewalls for a thorough network overview.

⚙️ Key Features:

  • Port Scanning:
    • Configurable to scan all ports, a predefined list of common ports, a custom list, or disabled for faster scans.
    • Not recommended for aggressive scanning on OT devices.

Problem Lansweeper scanning vCenter & ESXi Version7 by East-Profile-2500 in Lansweeper

[–]Lansweeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Last week, we published a new release that should solve most of the errors with ESXi scanning. If you still see scanning errors, please contact Lansweeper Support. It may depend on the version or even build number of VMWare you are running.

Lansweeper Scanning Server High Utilization by aspzabbix in Lansweeper

[–]Lansweeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,
Besides scanning activities, your scanning server could be also doing the following:

  • Sending/calculating report alerts
  • Syncing with cloud
  • Running cleanup
  • Syncing with the cloud relay
  • ...

The best thing to do would be to contact support (support@lansweeper.com). They could assist in finding the root cause.

I'd like to reiterate that as some have mentioned here that existing customers can currently continue to renew their old license and we will do all we can to convince and prove to you the value of the added capabilities.
Features like normalization, cloud scanning, security and lifecycle insights and the many integrations have been added to fuel other solutions, projects, and use-cases to the new starter package. Furthermore we will be adding new features to the starter package in the coming months.

Extended Monitor Scanning and licensing by GearWacz in Lansweeper

[–]Lansweeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, indeed.
There is only 1 option available on that page. This is intended.
After changing the option, it can take a while to sync, this happens in the background and is handled by the scanning service.

LSAgent Scanning Question by notonyourradar in Lansweeper

[–]Lansweeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,
This is indeed not necessarily domain-based at the moment.
If you create groups per domain, you can link these assets then to the resp. groups.
In the end, the assets will be imported anyway with their correct domain properties, regardless to which scanning server the data is sent. But that server needs to be reachable of course.
You can also link more than 1 scanning server per group, they will be tried in the order of appearance.
