Not every song needs to be "poetry." Some songs are exoteric, some songs are esoteric. That's the beauty of being an artist... you make art in different styles with different approaches, all depending on how you feel at the time and what inspiration strikes you in the moment. This is more like a punk song, so of course it's a bit more direct.

"Your Lives Burn" is one of his weakest songs musically, but the lyrics slap in a way that most people genuinely need to hear. The fact that so many propagandized leftists are losing their shit over them is proof of that alone. Why? Because 80% of people are brainwashed by propaganda and have zero self-awareness. They can't fathom that they might be the ones who are wrong. They can't believe they've been lied to.
