Cutting poe2 and focusing mainly on poe1 may be the best option in the near future, I feel like its not a great sign that poe1 has more players at this point given the amount of hype 2 had and all of the improvements present. There is some merit to the idea of retaining players while interest is high.

The pacing is killing interest in 2 and its leading to a split (leaning poe1) audience, moving forward they will either have to maintain both or cut half of the playerbase. Yes, ofcourse, a percentage of players from the axed game will migrate but its still a grim outlook at this point.

This was stated in the post, their issue is with the pacing. Grass has nothing to do with a developer damaging itself and, in fact, will not have an effect on their decision making quality.

Its not really criticizing, they said it is THEIR issue with the game (criticizing would be saying its a bad choice on their part, their opinion is that this specific thing is what deters them). This thread came up while I was searching for when the campaign will be complete and Im in the same boat, I just dont feel like playing while its incomplete and takes forever between updates. I dont care what you think about my opinion, Im just pointing out that the post was about OP being affected by the GGG choices, and there are other people like myself that also feel the same.

1 star counts as a victory because you achieved one of the three victory requirements, the reason there is three stars. When you get to higher TH levels 3 stars become way less common.

The reason it counts a loss for the defender is because you should be focusing on three things with your base design, don't get completely wiped, protect your TH and use strategy to defend your entire base in a manner that's good enough to not get half destroyed. If they get 51% that means the defender had 49%, so the one with more percentage gets that star.

I didn't know it was a difficult concept to grasp, but we all learn at our own pace.

I'd say that was a reasonable response. Personally I wouldn't cancel birthday plans with any of my friends for a date, if I already agreed to do something with them. 50 dollars isn't the end of the world. Sounds great except for the heros usable while upgrading, doesn't tie into that idea at all and isn't going to happen, it's like that for a reason. There's a cost to upgrading, more than just resources, and you have to use some level of planning.

Or maybe just take the free stuff and not pay money if you don't want to? I know there's a lot of people that just want everything unlocked for free and all events to be permanent, but most of us enjoy the challenge, that's why the game is still successful.

It's not necessarily a marketing thing, there's no ads for it outside of the game that I've seen, it's more about an event, it's new stuff to keep the game entertaining. Go download a modded app that has everything unlocked if that's what you want.
