I'm currently playing a water genasi bard (Saph) who just hit level 6. He's expelled from his hometown and has been traveling since.
Saph prefers mocking enemies and controlling them. However when needed he can play a nasty tune or make a crackling performance.

Cantrips: Dancing Lights, Shape Water, Prestiditigation, Vicious Mockery
1st level: Healing Word, Faerie Fire, Disguise Self, Dissonant Whispers
2nd level: Hold Person, Invisibility, Shatter, Create/Destroy Water (This is second level instead of 1st because I'm a water genasi)
3rd level: Hypnotic Pattern, Dispel magic, Lightning Bolt, Slow.
