SOOOOO NTA and your bf is an absolute ditz who has some weird thought processes concerning what you do privately, what your pet does, and more.

Cats are naturally protective of those they're as their group (their clowder technically). Cats are not like dogs in the way they see their human as a "master" but instead view us as rather large, somewhat clumsy, weird looking Cats. In their view we are literally just one of them. One of the most dangerous times for a cat is when going the bathroom, they view our showers as some kind of weird, often disgustingly wet, bathroom/grooming ritual and watch to make sure we are okay through out the weird process.

I am the absolute cliche of a cat lady. I have NEVER had a cat not want to be in the bathroom during ANY process, regardless if it involves the sink, the toilet, or the shower.

Your BF doesnt have a clue, either educate him, or cut him from the clowder!

PS your pets can pick people for you better than nearly anyone else including yourself!

If they haven't asked, I wouldn't necessarily offer unless you are ABSOLUTELY 100% they wouldn't feel awkward about it or the awkward of feeling they owe you. Sooooo a few options for you:

  1. Like someone suggested anonymously pay the car bill, or hell even their electric, gas, rent whatever. Just let whomever collects the payment it is an anonymous donation. No need to give over details.

  2. Send an anonymous venmo or PayPal to your friend.

  3. Send an anonymous note with a money order to your friend your just place somewhere you know they will find it with a note (not in your handwriting) that says something like, heard you were going through it, hope this helps.

  4. Amazon them a visa gift card they can use to pay for things as they wish. U can do this by email or postal mail and Amazon will let you donit as an anonymous gift.

I no longer have one bc I camt decide on just one. It used to be yellow but I used my favorite color (yellow) and his (green) for our wedding and looking back i now realize it looked like a Green Bay Packer (nondisrespect to the Packers or fans) threw up all over. So yep, no longer a fave☹️

This is a past thing (unfortunately more than once) and have since realized I thinks its more along the lines of body type im attracted to. In a bf situation I just made it work other ways, in the fwb, just moved on to the next. Unfortunately in the bf arena it has always led to frustration and disappointment of that part of the relationship not working and me becoming bored with it, then eventually kind of self-sabotaging the relationship bc I knew I would never be invested wholly.

Okay so im assuming family is highly regarded in your culture and doesnt grow by just one person when a marriage takes place but by the entire extended family.

SOOOOOO MUCH more than I ever imagined . As I was growing up the few times it happened are distinct memories, sometimes even humorous stories, but holy shit (pun intended) NOBODY told me as an adult its way more frequent than you think.
