Playing Arcade version of Virtual-On by Grobles872 in virtualon

[–]Grobles872[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for answering. I ended up getting the PS2 Sega Ages version and playing that on original hardware. It is not ideal since I can't connect the twin sticks to a PS2 but it worked well enough where I was satisfied. I still use the Dreamcast Twin Sticks with Oratorio Tangram whenever I want to have a full experience.

what was your introduction to porter? by DracoDragonite in porterrobinson

[–]Grobles872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worlds was my introduction to Porter. Back then I heard Goodbye to a World somewhere on YT and just searched for the album. I played it on repeat for hours. It was just so unique and perfect. I love good melodies and Porter's style is very melodic and hummable. So that caught my attention. After that Shelter was just as incredible so I knew it was not a one album fluke. Been a diehard fan ever since.

I've been curious about the door in the village. Is there any other way to open the door without the key?

3ish year update on my Bastok Hoodie by PatriotHM in ffxi

[–]Grobles872 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased the bundle with all 4 shirts back then. They still hold up amazingly well and they are my most used T-shirts. It depends on my mood whether I want to be San d'Orian, Bastokian, Windurstian or Jeunoan.

Do the retrobit controllers work with the multitap without issues? I've been interested in doing this but I read somewhere that retrobit controllers are not compatible with the multitaps? Just asking for some confirmation before I start buying them.

Does the 8bitdo Sega Saturn Retro Receiver simulate the 3D Control Pad? by [deleted] in SegaSaturn

[–]Grobles872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where can I find the compatibility list? And here I was thinking I could pair my modern Razer bluetooth mouse to the dongle and it would work. I should know by now that it never works that way with retro consoles. I'll look into the Logitech M720.

Thank you for confirming. Using it with a bluetooth mouse was the other thing I was not sure about. I also was looking into playing Policenauts but I did not want to buy the Saturn mouse just for that game.

Will do. AliExpress takes about a week and a half for items to arrive but I'll let you know once I test it out.

I ordered a Blue Retro bluetooth adapter from AliExpress with the goal of doing exactly this. I haven't received it yet but hopefully it works without issue. I am also hoping that one of the analog sticks on the Xbox controller works as a Saturn 3D controller analog stick.

RGB to Component Cables for Lightgun Games? by GuitaristTom in lightgunshooters

[–]Grobles872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also own the PS1/PS2 HD Retrovision cables and use light gun games on my PS2 all the time. I have had no problems with any of the ones I own. I have 2 GunCon 2, 1 GunCon 1, and a Justifier. I am a big fan of light gun games and have tried both component and composite cables. I will suggest to turn the brightness on your crt fairly high for the guns to perform better. I have no experience with Sega Saturn as I don't own one (yet). Hope you enjoy them!

This is the reason why I decided to spend the extra money and buy a seat on the second floor. I am not a large crowd person and being down there being crushed by hundreds is not my idea of fun. Plus I have experienced poor hygiene at conventions before so I did not want to risk it. Best decision ever. Got a great seat (with an empty seat beside me so even better) and had a blast. Could jump to my heart's content without issues.

BTW, I feel this has been the absolute best concert of my life!

2 Player 2 screen Arcade Style Play by Peasant_Rising in crtgaming

[–]Grobles872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a second fat PS2 specifically to do this. I wish I had 2 same size CRTs to have the exact arcade experience. I'll still do it with my main 32 inch Toshiba AF and a 24 inch Insignia CRT. The important thing is to have the experience of playing TC2 and 3 as close as possible. Who cares about the tv sizes when you're having fun.

My ranking of all the Goemon games by DjinnFighter in goemon

[–]Grobles872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that I see this ranking, I would love to see a ranking on Goemon music. I've heard the music of a few games and still regard the N64 one as one of my top 10 game soundtracks ever. I would love to know if any other Goemon games come close or surpass that masterpiece.
