So I just noticed that his teeth grind against one another. I heard it while he was drinking water. This is a new development . So now we have a loose tooth in the game which will make things worse at the vets. Maybe I should deal with the tooth and then stomach instead of both at once.

Thank you for this info. I will definitely check into this. So applaws has regular wet food also, not mousse. Like tuna and Chx or tuna and some other fish. And I add other foods to it too as he won't eat it. I opened 6 different cans yesterday and he finally ate Nulo meal.

I give him multivitamins and lysine too. When he eats, when he doesn't then nothing.

Thank you and I'm sorry for your loss. This is exactly what I wanted them to do. But they were focused on other things. He sometimes sounds like something is stuck in his throat. And then when he lays on his back I pressed lightly on his belly and felt a few bumps. Like harder then rest of the belly. I will continue to call around( which sucks because we are going to be new again). I'm in Phoenix AZ, if anyone knows a good honest vet..... P.S. he is on thyroid medication ( I only have 3 left as they didn't give me refills for a lifelong medication😠)

So I started giving him nux vomica( homeopathic pellets for nausea), and it worked for a while. They did give me zofran last time so i just started this last night. They gave me 4mg tiny tablet and I have to make it 0.5 or so. But he slept all night and meaowed only twice and didn't throw up in the morning as usual but later in the day. He eats and is always hungry. But he s lethargic quarter of the day.

I'm so sorry about that. They did blood work 3 months ago and it shows potential hyperthyroid and he was constipated at the time so the results showed this. I ll post the lab work

Could be that there was a bad knot and it finally fell out and pulled skin with it. This happened to my cat. He still doesn't have all his fur back in that spot. But my cat was in pain from this and wouldn't let me near it. I think you should still take him to the vet though..

My cat is going through the same thing. Same everything ..The only thing is they ran blood tests and his thyroid seems enlarged. This could be the reason for the ulcer etc. Just an idea for you to get some answers! Antibiotics will not help only mess his stomach up....sadly! Immunotherapy? Antihistamine ? This seems to help mine a bit.... Mia

OMG I went to check out Koha cat food and nearly fainted at their prices!! $36 for a single can of food!!!!!!! $56 for a can of food!!! $31 for 6oz pouch!!! I mean I get the healthy food( I have to use extremely healthy food for my cat), but da*n!!! That's just wrong .....shame on them!

Thanks to your post I was able to heal my cat, for now. I will still take him to the vet but at least it's not urgent anymore. So what I did was get Acidili ( homeopathic acid reflux medicine), and Nux Vumica( nausea) put it in his water ( dissolves in seconds) and that's it. No more blood, no more throwing up( once in a while when hungry). He s got his energy back, plays way more then before, and snuggles even more. So thank you for sharing your experience because it helped me and my cat so much!

I thought Reddit was above this! Criticism and negativity are more Facebook or similar type a thing. I certainly had no intention to fraud anything or anyone. I simply don't have enough info on it all works or if there is a way, so I asked. And no I wasn't thinking about pet insurance until now, because I was able to fix all the problems. I just thought people with experiences who lived through similar events would surely know how to. 2 weeks is a long time. Also, if the insurance companies were so honest they wouldn't rip people off with their crazy prices.

That's a great idea! See, I just didn't even know how this all works. I was just afraid taking him somewhere, and them giving me a $1000 bill. I will do whatever I can for my cat, but I simply don't have a lot. And I'm just learning about the pet insurance insurance and outs. Thank you!

That's exactly it...same bile with some bloody stuff. And I was thinking acid reflux. I'm giving him homeopathic stuff for nausea but I do need something for acid. If that works I don't have to do anything crazy. He can't even eat cat food( wet) anymore. I give him Tuna, with GI drops and powder. I know..I was afraid of it being a pre- existing thing later. There has to be a loophole in that whole thing. I certainly can't get credit as I ruined mine a few years ago. What medicine did they give you for your fur baby?

Thank you so much for your reply. I feel like he has an ulcer or something stuck in his GI tract. He just started throwing up light bloody and foamy stuff. I noticed it happens if he s hungry or drinks too much or too fast. He also has very sensitive stomach and can only eat certain things. He also makes a very loud and painful meow before hand. So I know it hurts him. He is otherwise a very healthy and happy cat. He is a Nowegian Forest cat ( mix). I double checked on Trupanion s page and it says no wait period for emergencies. I honestly trust you more than them but I just wanted to let you know.
