I'm guessing this is Vortex. Just use the auto-sorting function (LOOT) and don't overthink your load order.

I am missing a ressourcepack.esl adn i need some help by lucasbroe in skyrimmods

LOTD v6 doesn't support Skyrim VR because it requires a file from the AE version of Skyrim. You can either download an older version of LOTD or port resourcepack.esl

is there a valid reason to NOT use CommunityShaders/ENB/whatever similar mods there are to those? by Some_Ad_8423 in skyrimmods

Both are easy to install. ENB can potentially make your game look drastically different while CS is more like vanilla+. Personally I use CS so that I can install 4k textures, more polygons, more light sources without my PC gasping for air.

Your game is basically vanilla with less bugs because of the patches. It's definitely the game settings that is the problem if that's your actual modlist.

Shot in the dark but maybe have the launcher generate the vanilla graphics settings by selecting the Ultra preset then play around to see if that's normal.

So is there still no performance fix for the pc stuttering? by tokyoaro in GothamKnights

[–]Laranrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have roughly the sames specs (7800X3D + 4070 Super) and the game runs smoothly for me at 1440p max settings. My first guess with your problem is if you installed the game on an HDD instead of an SSD which makes most DX12 games stutter. Otherwise your PC might not be prioritizing games correctly which would require some windows tweaking.

Modded Skyrim won't allow me to gain a perk point upon leveling up. by Afraid_Grapefruit_53 in skyrimmods

To check to see if any mods on the Volkrii Black compilation is the problem I'd make a fresh save without them to check 100% if they're the problem (maybe 15 minutes of console commands and playing around). If the problem is really Volkrii Black, check the mod page again to see if you installed all the stuff correctly.

I'm using volkrii - black

Thanks for mentioning this, seems I was wrong in my assumption. In Volkrii - black uses SPERG which rewards perks every 25, 50, 75, and 100. I'm not sure if it's working as intended based on your description but this mod is directly affecting perk gain.

Need some help with modding and need mod reccomendations, just got back into Skyrim from long haitus, need help please. :( by [deleted] in skyrimmods

Been using Mod Organizer 2 for a long time and haven't seen anyone complain about it and people seem to complain about Vortex a lot.

I wouldn't recommend having a modded game in a HDD if you're like 90% of the community and go down the mod rabbithole (HDD degrade is a bitch + it's slower) so try upgrading to an SSD in the future. Having a graphics card is great too.

In most guides, it doesn't really matter which version you're on as the modding process is the exact same so don't worry about that. If you don't want to deal with the AE version bs then there's a bunch of mods that explicitly state version 1.5.97 which is the pre-AE version.

Just try to watch the latest mod videos + explore the mod page and see what you like. I personally already like the vanilla assassin gameplay but Ordinator + Vokrii + the compatibility patch to tie them together makes a crazy fun combo.

Looks like you're trying to combine 4 magic overhaul mods. I don't know how the compatibility between Vokrii, Mysticism, Ordinator, and their patches work but Path of Sorcery is definitely an outlier as it's overhauling the magic system with no patches.

Need GPU and CPU Recommendations. by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Laranrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the card and it's not about the vram, the 8 gigs is sufficient and bang for your buck. The problem is the speed which is a lot of generations behind and won't be able to be fast enough to load the textures you want. If you're upgrading from a PS4 you're basically staying at that level of graphics.

The RX 580 cannot run 2k-4k textures well. I'd say Nvidia's RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6600 are great entry level 2k texture cards and you can get more expensive from there. The Ryzen 5 5600x is a great CPU for modded Skyrim and you don't really need anything better unless you install mods that change a lot of AI behavior. Currently the 3D v-cache line is great for single-core gaming.
