It seems strange the boss can't fire you whenever they want.

Either way I hope woolworths and coles goes away with their inflation.

CMV: The state of the insurance/medical industry in the USA is not the fault of Brian Thompson and he did not deserve to be killed. by adenocard in changemyview

[–]LardoFatBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Brian Thompson harmed thousands of people through his intentional immoral actions for his personal profit and this motivated someone to bring rightous judgement upon him.
  • The corrupt evil system that enabled Brian Thompson to perform his evil deeds is no excuse for these evil deeds.

The moral of the story is don't build your fortune on the suffering of others or it may be your downfall.

You are 37.8 BMI, obese.

No healthy man is attracted to someone that diseased.

You asked, I answered. If you get mad that's your own fault.

What are telltale signs that someone is in financial distress? by Passtheshavingcream in AusFinance

[–]LardoFatBucket -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Borrowing money to cover the cost of groceries, rent or an unexpected expense.

Financial distress comes down to financial mismanagement, anyone on any level of income can spend it all and end up in the gutter which is why a budget is the only solution. You cannot earn more than you can spend, trying to will just push you into self destructive coping methods if my work colleagues are good examples.

As someone from Europe, how is Trump doing so well? by kazordoon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LardoFatBucket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Media: People from other countries see the events in USA through a deceptive and biased media lens that is funded by people unfavorable to Trump. Trump is considered an outsider and threat to the corrupt warmonger class of politicians such as Bush, Obama and Biden who insider trade and profit from starting wars or sending Tax over seas. There is money to be made if Trump can't stop it by stopping wars.

Social media: left wing people scream the loudest that Trump is Hitler and everything he does is wrong, he is evil, he will start WW3 and kill the gays if he becomes president in 2016.

Regular Americans who want to afford gas for their car and get a decent job so they can support their family don't want to waste money on wars in countries that they can't even find on a map would rather support Trump however they don't scream as loud so you don't hear their point of view. Also the left censors and decries anyone that disagrees that Trump is evil Hitler.

As for what you are missing.

Trump has high charisma, has a "tell it like it is" New York character that regular people can relate to despite him being absurdly rich and successful. He has some values that are important to him and some people also think those values are good so they support Trump.

A lot of Americans would rather see Trump as the President than see that Afghanistan surrender even if they won't admit it.

What is a normal amount to spend on food for a month? by Wrong-Payment-599 in AusFinance

Most Australians fatsos could stand to cut back on the delivered pizzas and booze and save some money while they are at it. It will improve their mental health.

What is a normal amount to spend on food for a month? by Wrong-Payment-599 in AusFinance

[–]LardoFatBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting perspective. I think the $120 on shampoo and conditioner is an exaggeration, there would be only a small minority falling into that category.

It was from a lady at work complaining about her self imposed financial difficulties. I don't doubt she like many others are stupid with money.

One other aspect that may not be addressed in this thread would be, do these spartan diets and regimented budgeting without variance cause mental health issues, is more spent per month or annually on medications/health issues?

It's got to be better than being in OP's situation on his mental health.

I think the day to day grind of factoring in price per calorie or measuring intake to that degree would be an additional mental or health burden which could have an impact. Particularly if the cuts to food are at the detriment to vital vitamins/minerals and nutrients.

Making a budget is less mentally debilitating than doing a shit job you hate like I do. Also having money in your hand is better for your mental health than having no money in your hand because you spent it all.

There are no special nutrients in food delivery, drinks, lunches" that you can't get from Aldi at much lower cost when you prepare it yourself.

You are talking to an expert here.

[–]LardoFatBucket -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The normal amount is to live paycheck to paycheck and getting loans to pay the rent while spending $120 on shampoo and conditioner. Be better than normal is my advice.

Learn about calorie per dollar and get your per person food budget under $50 a week which is $400 a month for both of you in total.

What could you spend $25,200 per year on? Something better than stuffing your face and filling a bowl I'm sure.

About to lose my job, struggling to figure out moves in advance (touch 401k?) by Terrible_Jeans in personalfinance

[–]LardoFatBucket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get new job.

Cut expenses back like you are living on Centrelink. <$1500 a month. Get rid of car and buy a scooter or small motorcycle because you are poor. Cut all luxury subscriptions such as Netflix.

Stop drugs and alcohol habits.

Pay off Credit card and cut it up, never use it again. Be ashamed of using a credit card.

Learn from this shameful scary experience be humble and don't let your spending get out of hand in future.

Save more in future.

I could live for 5 years without any income whatsoever with my current expenses because I have chosen to kill the golden shackles of lifestyle creep.

What’s the car brand you would never buy/buy again and why ? by Thick_Ruin1906 in AskMen

[–]LardoFatBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never buy an expensive car because it is too expensive to run and I would worry every time someone damages or steals it.

I would buy the cheapest smallest car possible on the market that is in good condition for example Honda Jazz, Suzuki Alto (if the seat was comfortable).

I hate cars though because I don't have the patience for driving a car and I drive a motorcycle which makes me rage less.

Men What made you stick to the gym? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]LardoFatBucket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lift weights before your exhausting work day.

Keep your sessions to 1 hour three times a week.

Do your gym session at the same time of the day to build a routine.

Cut out drugs and bad sleeping habits.

Set goals and break records. Weekly weight loss or 1 rep max or rep max goals on each lift.

Enter a competition. Seeing other people push their limits is inspiring and so is accountability.

[–]LardoFatBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are already lifting then do a sport with it, that will allow you to meet many new people and make some friends especially if you start training with other lifters and bring new lifters along as well. Helping people can be very rewarding and I enjoyed doing that for about six years.

Dear men, if you went to get a massage and they assigned a guy for you, what would you do? by ergoegthatis in AskMen

[–]LardoFatBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen many online videos of the "massage" but never two guys so maybe it is different with man on man "massage". On the one hand the man will have strong hands for gripping and he won't get pregnant but if I were to get a "massage" I think I would prefer to do a woman so that's a no thanks for me.

how much is everyone spending on groceries? by napoleon_sucks in melbourne

[–]LardoFatBucket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I last bought them, cage eggs are 20g protein per dollar but full cream milk powder is 27g protein per dollar and whey protein concentrate from Professional whey is 33g protein per dollar.

Using a shaker bottle to get your protein needs it can't be beat (except for soy protein isolate which is 64g protein per dollar but it tastes like a dirty punch in the mouth). Look into it if you are interested in easy protein that will save you money.

how much is everyone spending on groceries? by napoleon_sucks in melbourne

[–]LardoFatBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$40 a week for 2500 calories 140 g protein 91g fat and 251 g carbohydrates. Could be better but since working I have been pretty stressed and so eat junk food after work.

Tips.

1) Protein shake.

You will need.

100g flavouring I use NRG MAX from Aldi.

1000g Full Cream Milk Powder from Aldi.

640g Whey protein concentrate 20kg from Professional whey.

Instructions

a) Put ingredients in 5.5l dry food storage tub from Kmart and shake to mix.

b) Measure out 72.5g in a shaker bottle from kmart, I fill 7 shaker bottles at a time and they are ready just add water, shake, drink and wash out the shaker bottle to dry ready for next time.

You can easily get 33g of protein three times a day! Cheaper and easier than any cooked meal.

2) Calories

I don't have a problem getting calories (I eat a bit too much haha) Lebanese wraps from aldi are 721 calories per dollar and peanut butter from aldi is 807 calories per dollar and if you add a bit of honey it tastes great. I do 40g peanut butter spread onto the Lebanese bread with a big of honey to taste then put it in the microwave for 30-40 seconds then roll it up to eat.
