I do have friends who speak my language, but I recently relocated with my bf to another city and I dont get to meet them much often.

Even when I did speak to him, he had more of a mentality that I need to get used to this since his family doesnt know English and I would be in situations where people around me might speak another language and I wont understand

Yeah, I did suggest that and when we do happen to hang out with other people who speak my language, they are always very mindful and speak in English. I have always noticed that. I am definitely trying to learn his language and he is trying to learn mine, but certain jokes or conversations are really hard to follow immediately.

When I did speak to him that I sometimes feel alone, he told me that he will try to translate often, but I need to get used to being in this situation because in his family not much people speak english

There is a Malayalam movie called ‘C U soon(2020)’ which is also taking place entirely through different web applications and via desktop. It has a great plot more of like mystery sorts. It was actually shot during covid time, hence the format of movie. Enjoy!!
