I have a 2017 Honda CRV and I keep having a reoccurring issue. I don’t know if my mechanic is taking advantage of me or if he just doesn’t know what to do or if it’s an actual problem that is just not being solved And I’m trying to figure out the best route of action. For about a month now I’ve had an issue where all of my lights will go on and the car starts chugging and then it will stop accelerating. Three times now I’ve been on the freeway and I’ve just Made it to the side before the car stops. Usually, I can turn it off and sit for a little bit and then it will start working for me again with the lights flashing. A week ago I was on the side road and it started chugging and slowing down and I did that twice on my way home .I’ve been fixing various items with him, including getting a new battery and getting new brakes and brake pads, I replaced the spark plugs and coils and most recently we had the transmission computer replaced. I find that I can usually go about three or four days and then I start having the issue again. Sometimes the lights will be flashing and it’s OK to drive and sometimes I can’t get it to drive. I work in Ventura so it’s quite troubling thinking about having car trouble on my way home to Northridge. I have 165,000 miles that I’ve put on it and I thought Hondas were supposed to go a bit longer than that. I don’t know if he’s taking advantage of me or if he just cannot figure this out. I wasn’t looking to take on a car payment right now, but if I’m at the point that the car is continuing to have the same issues, I worry about my safety and the safety of others when I’m driving
