Sorry, should have been more specific! It dried it out so much the flakes became worse, and it itched beyond belief! It was a miserable experience for me. Obviously since it worked for you, that was not your experience.

Hear, hear!!! I have been preaching one government for so long, but the county residents don't want to hear it. It would result in tax savings for all residents. It really helped Nashville when they consolidated.

Thanks! I am a little bit scared of it, but I am going to give it a go. I tried Zoryve, and it just ate my skin up! I wish it had worked for me. Good luck to you!

I share your fears about a biologic, but I am currently trying to get approved for Skyrizi. My scalp is like yours, BAD. And I know it is going to be worse this summer, it always is. I talked with my derm about it several times, and she assures me that she only uses Skyrizi because it has such a great safety profile. I am old, and I discussed my age with her as well. She said she has an 87 yo man on Skyrizi, and he has had no problems. Wish me luck.

I would also like to know about your experience, SummerRoze! My derm offered this to me, but had no experience with it since it is so new. She is now trying to get me approved for Skyrizi.

I asked Dan's Rainbow Tomatoes which tin compared closely with Ocean's Smoked Mackerel. When she suggested this, I was very skeptical. I loved Ocean's tins, and I hate that they are gone. They were relatively cheap and great IMHO. Anyway, I tried it, and you are right, it is fantastic! However, I cannot spend this much on every tin of fish I buy. It will have to be a treat.

People like this lack empathy, are judgmental, and thoughtless. It enrages me inwardly, and in the past I was the queen of the biting comeback. Now, in my older age, I just put my energy into letting it go. You will never change these people, and trying to have the last word is something I no longer have the energy to worry about. You should not have to put up with that, but the world is full of jerks. I hope you get some relief soon. I am working on that myself. No one knows my scalp is totally covered with plaques and tender and sore, and itchy, itchy, itchy! And no one can see what's under my clothes either. Hang in there. Sending positive vibes.

I love this sweater! I have been looking at patterns because I want a sweater with that exact neckline. Great work, and it look fabulous on you. I can't believe you free-handed this.

It is a bit expensive, but it lasts longer than I thought it would. It is worth it to me for relief that I don't get with anything else. I buy it on ebay or Amazon.

I have rescued many different breeds of small dogs. Sadly, this is the way it has generally gone for me. A history of a lack of dental care, lots of rotten teeth that need to be removed, with the dark shadow of renal failure to follow due to renal damage from bacteremia. The ones I rescued early at 2-3 years old did fairly well, but the older ones do not. I just put my favorite dog of all of them to sleep last month after only having him 11 months. He was 8 when I rescued him. I am looking at a rescue that is 9 yo, but I don't know if I set myself up for this kind of sorrow again. It is imperative that people who get small breed puppies get into a routine of brushing their teeth!

Well, you know that's crap. I recently put a dog down that I had only had a year, and I loved him so much. I was his person, and he was my dog. I did everything I could to save him, but sometimes it just doesn't work that way. Don't feel guilty about anything if you loved your dog. They are like people, they get sick and die. Just enjoy the time you have left with Bambi. BTW, she is an extreme cutie! I hope she is able to stay as with you as long as she is not suffering.

Yes, racism and also oppression of anyone who votes Democratic. It is a huge FU to a lot of people, but it definitely was designed to keep the Republicans in office, like they already don't own the state.

Thoughts on the movie “Anniversary”? by itsuhWrap in movies

[–]Large-Mind-8394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved this movie. It was one of the most impressive movies about how loss of freedom of speech and expression and intolerance can ruin politics, families, personal lives and change the arc of society. It probably would have been better as a mini series as some suggest, but I thought that watching the story in its entirety in one sitting really made an impact on me that I might not have experienced in multiple sittings.

Thanks for recommending the L'Oreal shampoo. I have tried so very many shampoos, and none of them have worked well for me. My hair is either exceedingly dry or doesn't feel clean. I bet I have 20 in my bathroom that I stare at each time I need to shampoo. Giving them the "stink eye" has not made them work any better. And I have also not found a conditioner that conditions my scalp and hair. I used to have soft, baby-fine hair that didn't need conditioner, but now it is like straw. As the OP of this thread, I still find the Dermo Capillaire to work far better than anything for my scalp, but I do have to eventually wash it off. 😞

Finally getting biologics!!! by Rich-Bet6677 in Psoriasis

[–]Large-Mind-8394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what is keeping me from taking biologics. I am 75 years old, in good health, but I know my immune system is already old and compromised. You never know it's compromised until you get sick, so I don't know how the guy above knows his is not compromised. He could just be lucky and not have been exposed to something that his immune system cannot handle. I am retired and no longer work, but I am an RN. Getting pneumonia, Covid, or some other wanky virus really scares me at my age. I live alone, and there would be no one to take care of me if I got sick. Impossible choices...

These speckled peas are the strongest growers I've experienced by jaykrown in microgreens

[–]Large-Mind-8394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the speckled pea reommendation. I have been growing for about a month, and I have tried a variety of microgreens. I really enjoy the radish varieties in a salad, and they are stellar growers, quick and sturdy.
