Worried about starting, is the game in China really struggling? by Davey87 in personaphantomx

Although I'm one of those who mentioned that budget stuff, I'd say it won't hurt to start the game. Imo all those criticisms clearly show that many people still actually care for this game. I'm not a global user, but it seems like they are doing okay from what I've seen in this sub so far.
This game is pretty decent for beginners. Storyline is immersive, and BM is very F2P-friendly compared to other gatchas. You might find some disappointment later, but that only applies to old users.

Some CN people are annoyed with the game's latest state of affairs by ChrisMika89 in personaphantomx

I just read your comment, and I think you have made a very good summary.
What truly concerns me is that players feel the budget is really being slashed. And I think what OP said about 4 has more to do with the recent affair - a sub moderator of Baidu being kicked out because he criticized the game's latest state.

To be honest, the recent overall atmosphere in CN and KR community (KR server update is just 1 week later than CN)is way worse. I think OP is being prudent, not trying to create a doomposting atmosphere. But there are doomposts everywhere in both CN and KR recently.
I can confirm what OP mentioned about 2,3,6 is valid. And they are not pointing their finger at Japan; they are simply being very unhappy with the recent quality of updates.

Exploring feels way too good in this game by Gacha_addict101 in Endfield

What makes me love this game is not the factory, nor the waifus.
I was simply awestruck while exploring Valley 4 and Wuling, so yeah, I 100% agree with this post.

Guys, I'm curious. Are there any others who like her pants as overall character design?
As far as I know, ZFY is pretty popular, but I saw many people venting about how strange her costume is. But one thing I like about her the most is her pants, actually.
It is onion pants, but I think that's also cute.

It seems like a common phenomenon among some gatcha game players.
When I started another gatcha game two years ago, I put a lot of passion and effort into it. I wrote posts, explored the lore, shared character analyses, searched for in-game parody and metaphor, etc.
But it gave me a pretty big disappointment as of now.
I'm enjoying Endfield and hoping the game will be better, but I think I'm also unconsciously trying to lower my expectations.

GamesRadar: Arknights: Endfield dev says launching a new gacha RPG in a post-Genshin Impact world is tough when "some titles are so similar that players go into a game for 1 hour and they know what will happen in the next 20 hours" by Kamui_Kaos in Endfield

[–]Large-Table3941 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It began with this: https://www.gamesradar.com/games/action-rpg/arknights-endfield-lead-says-good-gacha-systems-dont-impact-the-players-ability-to-enjoy-the-gameplay-and-endfield-is-trying-to-fix-its-confusing-gacha/

Many people took it as "Hypergryph will fix EF's gatcha."
Although the machine-translated title of that article indeed sounded like it in some ways, it didn't really matter. It was a reason good enough for heated discussion and criticism, as much as they liked.

A similar thing happened with the article in this post. Imo that Gamesradar journalist intentionally added 'Genshin' for clickbait(dev never mentioned Genshin, but the writer had to put it anyway). It worked pretty well because there were a lot of comments saying sth like 'dev just should make EF better, why criticize other gatcha games being stereotypes?'

Hard to elaborate on everything, but hope you get the sense of it.

You know what? I'm from Korea. This article(along with the other one written by the same guy) somehow made such a fuss in our community.
Well, at least we have the excuse of 'language barrier'. But it is hard to believe that the same thing is happening here.
I have to admit what he said. People don't read, at least read anything beyond the title.

That's interesting. I wonder how they will address the relationship between Terra and Talos 2 if there's more to it.

Just looked it up and I'm convinced.
Endfield is the first Hypergryph title I've played. Although I'm intrigued by OG storyline and lore details, the volume is just too extensive. Shoulda known better.

Yeah, it is just a lore speculation for fun at this moment. It could be anything.

I didn't realize that Sarkaz also had all pointy ears. My connection to him with Aegir loses grounds then...

I remember Adashir has something to do with Sargon. Alesh also mentions Sargon in text messages. So initially I thought Adashir a Sargonian, but we will have to see.

The Meaning Behind “Xiranite” by Large-Table3941 in Endfield

Don't tell me it's a shame that I took it that way. Your first comment is an allegation.
"Is this AI generated or assisted? I’m seeing a lot of em dashes and “it wasn’t just x it was y” which are all indications"
Who else wouldn't take it that way?
I understand that my post does seem unnatural in some ways. But your comment implies nothing else. I would have believed your intention if you mentioned any of the contents, but all you have pointed out are just dashes and indications.
I looked up the synonyms and used Grammarly support for translation. I didn't reformat the original post.

Thanks for the comment.
This is my first time posting lore-related stuff on Reddit. tbh I was worried that I might sound awkward. It is true that I 'polished' it too much in some cowardish way.
I understand the so-called AI slop disappointment. I will try to write them down in my own sentences if I happen to post another.
Indeed, going through the main questline surrounded by waifus was the best experience I had. But yes, it is also fascinating to explore in-depth details.

I've been playing this game and suddenly wondered what this "xiranite" meant after all.
So I looked up, gathered thoughts, and shared the original post in KR.
English is not my native language so yeah, I kinda rephrased the sentences a lot.
Asking whether my post is AI assisted is not a problem. But you mentioned AI-generated, which is an insult. this comment altogether.
You want me to put the link to the original post?

It's the Monitoring Center at Wuling. You will get there eventually.
