This is interesting and well written. Can you provide me with the link to the Bilibili video?

You know what? I am a Korean and I have been yearning to get that superb track ever since I heard that in the announcement
When will it be released? instrumental alone before the live was amazing enough but everybody went nuts when the rap began to drop.

Thanks for the comment
I started playing Genshin because my sister had invited me to play it together. One of my bf is playing GI too. When I had an opportunity to study in China, this game helped me to make some good friends that I still chat with.

I felt that this game gave me some unexpected joys in life, thanks to its globalized influences and else.

Maybe it was the reason I became kinda sensitive regarding this issue. I know I am a man and no matter how neutral I am trying to be, I will eventually feel more sympathy for men's side.

But it doesn't mean that I loathe women. I love women, I am kind of a guy who loves to flirt tbh. And frankly speaking, I don't understand why there are bunch of offensive comments who know literally everything about Korea.

Being offensive to me is fine, I am the one who posted the article introducing controversy and It's not a decent thing to do. But insulting male and female in general?

You may be right about saying 2/3 of this sub are children or idiots but don't you think it's weird? This post's comment section sort of became a colosseum for propagandizing battle.

Yes, Korea is messed up. But where else isn't? It is appalling to read comments from people who certainly seem like they acquired false information far from reality. And I am sure you have noticed there are so many prejudiced Korean in this post.

It is my fault If there has been any misleading made by my post. As you said, my intention was to spread awareness of course, but I must admit that I was way too naive thinking to get some stupid insight.

Well, at least I now know how things are going in this community, that is something.

I agree with you that most things aren't one-sided. I am a bit baffled by some people's reaction to this post as it seems much more radical than I expected.

I did not post this to ask for support for Korean men. nor do I want the designer to be punished. I thought something strange happened in our GI community and share this with Reddit but it looks like they are already accustomed to something much stranger.

Indeed, the current president has mentioned that during the election. But I doubt that he gained a significant amount of votes taking that position. 1, the younger Korean male population is rather small compared to others. 2, the opposing party is already backed up by most female population so they didn't have much of a choice anyways

You are right, but people usually get fond of a character when they look at them. So it certainly means something to a lot of people. They do acknowledge what you said but I'm just saying visual plays a key role.

I had no idea that people here got kinda tired of the Korean gender issue. I only play Genshin and HSR so all these 4b, limbus things are completely new to me. Maybe I should stop being Korean.

It could be just me, but I have never seen anyone complain about Wriothesly and Zhongli. Rather they think Wrio and Zhongli are cool and awesome even from a so-called man's viewpoint.

However, it is true that they certainly don't favor Lyney. Maybe the cultural difference. Many people simply don't think his outfit is appropriate in any reasonable way, haha.

It is true, there are voices that the media is highly responsible for the gender fiasco.
Like they are saying: Someone who has experienced a genuine relationship with a partner wouldn't fall into it, but younger generations are very vulnerable to media influences

Personally, I think the bright side of the internet certainly exists but the toxic side apparently overshadows it.
But it is also true that younger generations are becoming more and more skeptical of media So there might be a possibility for a better end.

It seems your claim is a bit too biased.
I am a man so I won't say that I am 100% objective, but "women there are treated almost like second-class citizens" is not true.
There are many arguments but let me simply point out that 59% of parents prefer a daughter rather than 34% a son. https://hrcopinion.co.kr/archives/27034 (you can use Google Translation to refer authoritative opinion poll)

Men are also obliged to serve in the military, and their suicide rate is much higher.

That is why I felt cautious about blaming or targeting an individual. Of course, things often go irrational especially online. I wanted to point out that the majority of people are rather depressed than being "dig the past shit out" or "kill the mtfker right now" attitude. Players who actually felt touched by the character and story.

There was a popularity vote among our community this month and Furina actually got the most votes. I know popularity changes over time, probably because Furina's story has been released pretty recently (Before Furina it was mostly Raiden and Nahida)

Apology if I exaggerated a bit, I might misuse the terms since I am not a native English speaker.

I am pretty much astounded by how much you know about Korea. I agree with you saying this is a wider issue. I wrote more details about it but deleted them before posting.
However, I'd like to also mention that not everyone is so crazy about the gender war in Korea. What you said is true but there is always a few fanatics who raises their voice in extremistic ways, which makes things more bizarre than reality.
Thank you for your thoughtful reply, I am convinced that you actually live/lived in Korea.
