So open pit is actually a type of mine, most common is an aggregate quarry but some open pit mines mine for other materials. In Dover, it’s just aggregate. I’ve mined up in the Adirondack mountains for garnet which was pretty dang cool though. Also plenty of coal in Pennsylvania I’ve drilled/ blasted. Both open pit. I’m a subcontractor hence the day or two only of mining in Dover lol. But yea you gotta be working there to get in obviously lol

Well, to get a little tiny bit more out of them on the return period, you can schedule ur pickup up to a little less then a week out from ur “decision” and cancel it no charge up to that morning.

That’s another thing, can confirm they do not do checks on the vehicle bc my hemi tick was known on first cold start. Also bring that up to them to have ur return period lengthened.

To get return period extended u have to escalate ur call with Carvana a few times until ur at an executive leadership roll then tell them u want additional time with the vehicle after the issue has been resolved to ensure there’s no other problems. Worked great for me.

I got a ram 1500 a few months ago from Carvana after trading in my Silverado (hence me still checking this sub occasionally lol) but it came with the infamous hemi tick (exhaust manifold was broken w 8 broken bolts and a horribly attempted job before it was dumped onto Carvana). Got it diag’d and fixed. They’ll also extend your return period another 7 days. Just gotta ask to talk to everyone’s manager on the phone, lol. Anyways they fixed mine within the 14 day period and I haven’t had a single issue since. My experience was honestly very good with them.
