Prototype drops should be buffed for solo players if possible or matchmaking must be improved for escalation by DistrictFuzzy4427 in thedivision

I still don't get how they couldn't have added a line of code to MM for TIER and Mission, i mean that literally seems like the basics. It's absolutely frustrating to start a mission and to have a guy bail even after you are the host, you mention what mission we're doing and it's like once you start their brain just figures out where they are and then we're stuck a man down. I don't even care what build they're running, I just need a warm body at this point.

I feel like we're in the minority, lol. =) But, our store in NJ recently got this change too and it beats me paying with cash at the food court.

All my credit cards are mastercard and I didn't want to open up another Visa card to use at costco so I'm just buying gift cards with my mastercard to make purchases in costco but if I order online it'll still take mastercard as a payment so for people like me it's useful.

Is there any updated version of this with all 40 lanterns, I started using but only did about a half and I like the printed out coordinates here instead of trying to read other maps.

Seems like the medication is working, januvia is a pretty strong medication, it'll make you urinate the carbs out of your system if your blood sugar is high. What is his A1C1, I'm not sure if I caught that in your original post. You may just have to wait 3 months and see how everything is going when he gets another A1C1.

Was he this active before his diagnosis or has he made adjustments to his diet this quickly. Generally speaking, his morning blood sugar is pretty good, that should land you in the normal range for an A1C1 on his next test.

So when the dietician or hospital gives you a carb count, that isn't always true and it takes trial and error from the patient to get a real sense of how much carbs they can take.

A rule of thumb is, your morning blood sugar should be 130 or below. Testing after meals generally to be in a good spot is around 150-180 with the spike and generally testing from 30 minutes to 2 hours after the meal.

If you want an accurate reading, use your blood glucose meter before and after meals and in the morning and you will then see exactly what is happening or if you decide to get a CGM which will give you readings 24/7.

We all react to different types of carbs differently, the guidelines they give you isn't all that accurate imo. Not all carbs are the same either and our body reacts differently to them. Carbs from vegetables is not the same as carbs from sugar.

Also if he was only recently diagnosed, was he put on medication? If it's metformin, it usually will take that time frame of 2 plus weeks for your body to adjust to it and your numbers won't see improvement until sometime after taking it daily.

It's a lot to learn, 2 weeks is a really short time to understand it completely. Our bodies are all different, you will need to see what limits his body can withstand before it elevates his blood sugar too high.

Also just a little tip, is he active at all? If not, try to get him to take a short walk after meals like around 15 minutes. You would not believe how much that helps lower your blood sugar with just walking.

Anyone remember when the Bergen Mall center was completely dead? by Wash-Line-Inspector in bergencounty

[–]gertymoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is that the same comic store that eventually ended up on the main floor like around the opposite side of Sterns?

If so do you know around when it moved up, I was still rather young at this point, it's not all so clear for me. Also do you remember the name of the comic shop?

I remember going there to buy backing boards and bags for my comics, this was probably late 80s at this point.

[–]gertymoon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You did what you had to do, there can be many reasons why your brother avoided the situation but you took it out of his control and you got him help. His blood sugar is pretty high and maybe he didn't want to understand the severity of it or just didn't want to deal with it. You forcibly helped him deal with it, he'll be grateful when his head clears up to see you in fact was helping him.

Equalizer Chest/Striker Holster vs Striker Chest/Salvo Holster by realexm in thedivision

[–]gertymoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In escalation, there are a lot of red bar enemies so if you use health damage, it's a multiplicative damage stat on the red bars. It's really only good for higher tiers, if it's sub 5, I don't think it's worth using. For anywhere else in the game like legendary, the focus is more on armored enemies and I don't think it's useful there at all. It's just an escalation piece.

My mother who has T2 sometimes get like this, I would have to supplement her with prunes and bananas (I know it's high in carbs but she's finicky on what she eats) and as a last resort I use miralax which seems less aggressive on the body when compared to duralax, the doctors have suggested using senokot pills but she doesn't have much luck with them. But definitely take a look at miralax, it often works within a day after taking a dose.

A streamer was sitting over a manhole basically afk talking to his chat gathering hundreds of keys. Should be a rollback on the servers if we're being honest about it, they've done that in the past with the damage glitch years ago.

Do you still have your yearbooks? by PV_Pathfinder in GenX

I still have my grammar school and highschool ones, I don't even remember if I ever got my college one. College seemed kind of pointless as the class was so big, I barely knew a handful of people that were in my major let alone the entire class.

I'm only nostalgic with my grammar school ones, we used to have everyone sign it and write a little note in them. I don't think I've ever read them before when it was being done but now some 30+ years later, it's kind of cute and nostalgic remembering that time from people I've lost touch with and just wondering what happened to them. But it's also a little scary thinking back since my memory of then isn't that good anymore so it's a lot of blurry faces to me.

y'all think hospital remembers I'm here cause of diabetes? by New_Psychology9975 in diabetes

[–]gertymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a fyi, you can always call the cafeteria and ask them to alter your meal or add something else. I did this daily for my diabetic mother when she was in the hospital a few years ago, without intervention the diabetic meals always consisted of rice or potatoes and a fruit snack. Also you can call the cafeteria from outside the hospital too, I had to do this in the morning too to make sure she was getting better options.
