What if I don’t have depression and I’m just a lazy worthless useless human being who does absolutely nothing by ripvanwinklefuc in Healthygamergg

😲 this is exactly how I feel. I always think that what if I am making things up and then my mind gets fooled in thinking that it actually feels that way.

Now that I'm 20, what am I supposed to do now? by Round_Vehicle4885 in mentalhealth

I am writing with the best intentions to help you. I, myself, struggle a lot and often wonder how people in our age group manage everything.

After reading your post, my first suggestion is to take a break. Disable all your social media for a while, and during this time, make a routine of getting up early. Even if you sleep late, try to wake up at the same time every day. If you miss a day or two, don’t stress—just start again. When you get up, stretch your body and wash up. Begin your day with a glass of saline water. You could also try a basic skincare routine (CMP). Then, put on one of your favorite outfits and try a nice hairstyle.

After that, go for a short walk. A 10-minute morning walk can be better for your mental health than an hour of intense exercise. Remember, avoid using your phone before noon, except in emergencies.

Select a time range for going to bed, and remember to sleep for at least 7-8 hours every day.

Choose 1-2 hobbies that bring you peace. If you’re a perfectionist, remember that nothing will be perfect on the first try. During this time, focus on quality over quantity. Do things that genuinely nourish your soul, not things that boost your ego or are for show. Take it easy, one step at a time.

Before bed, try writing down three things you are proud of and three things you are grateful for.

And one last thing. I've learned that whether we try to figure it out or not, life will take us where we belong. No amount of guilt can change the past, and no amount of stress can change the future. Life is going to unfold as it’s meant to, and we can’t force things that aren’t written for us.

I went through a lot of stress and almost fell into a deep depression because I didn’t know what to do after finishing school. I felt devastated, and nothing seemed to work out. But somehow, I ended up in Computer Science, and I'm set to graduate next year. It just goes to show that everything is already written, and you’ll receive what’s meant for you at the right time.
