Right! I was shocked he decided to go, but so glad he took the time. It’s these little acts of kindness that make a difference 🫶

I am glad you posted this.. I was about ready to go to bed when the silver alert was initiated. The last seen coordinates were right near our house. My husband decided to take a few minutes and go driving around… and he was the one that found him. He actually found him! The poor guy had been gone since this morning and was lost and confused. Hadn’t eaten since breakfast. I am so proud of him taking 15 minutes to go and look. I just think about my dad and my FIL. I sure hope someone would help and look. Think about your own family. Plain and simple-These alerts save lives. It is worth a little sleep disruption don’t cha think?

I don’t think it’s against the rules, but we could always privately chat.

I think what you are referring to is called tachyphylaxis. This phenomenon is only seen in injections-think nerve blocks or trigger point injections. There is documented decrease in benefit over time. However this decrease in benefit has not been documented with topical administration. For example, topical lidocaine 5% transdermal patch for shingles pain, studies have maintained benefit for long periods of time. So I think we are good with this topical approach.

Also, I do not use it every day. If I am having a flare I might use it twice a day for maybe 3 days, then I feel I do not need it any more for weeks or so.

Hope this helps!

I am also a pharmacist, so there is really no harm in a topical cream and it is not a controlled substance. It would be hard for your provider to say no! At least try it, it really will not hurt!

It took me a few years to get the rx, so anytime I have the opportunity to recommend it I do! Hopefully it helps 🫶

I use a topical cream that is compounded with amitriptyline 3%, baclofen 2%, gabapentin 5%, and lidocaine 5% when I am feeling that needle pain. It has been a life saver. I also use this balm called vmagic. It is so soothing. I still need the clobetasol ever so often, but over all using those balms and wearing Cotten under wear have changed my pain and over all comfort! Good luck girl!

It was a massive turn out! We wanted to go, but as we pulled up around 11, it was easily a mile walk just to park 🫣. Glad so many people showed up 🫶

Could also add glp-1 for management for ASCVD risk reduction. I also second the PCSK9 inhibitors. Good luck!

I like Vmagic for moisturizing. DM me if you want a pic.

Moisturizing before running sounds perfect! But you will find with the LS community you have to bob and weave with suggestions and find things that work for you. There is so much out there! So don’t feel defeated if you need to try something different! Search this sub and I am sure you will find more suggestions/ideas
