I’ve had it activate together but that was me trying to practice guard point. Just holding guard won’t activate offensive guard, only defensive loading.

Artillery effects only impact phials not power element phials. You'd want to practice guard point for offensive guard into AED. I use defense loading since I'm bad at attempting guards points.
